Yeah, it's been on a fairly steady decline since the fantastic first season. Not holding my breath on this one correcting its course.

Yeah fell of a cliff after the great first season. It was a smart show, but thought it was too smart and disappeared up it's own arse after the first season.

I don't think I'm going to bother anymore. I had high hopes after S3 started strongly, but it turned to shit pretty quickly.

I'm kinda surprised its still going tbh... I haven't heard anyone mention it after Season 1.

Well this season has been a bit all of the shop and tricky to follow (well it is Westworld) but the latest episode really changes things for the better.

Feel like it's been a lot more straightforward but yeah the 4th episode was great IMO and had a real S1 vibe to it.
The show also continues to be one of the most beautifully shot shows around which isn't surprising seeing as HBO give it around $100m budget each season.

Westworld season 4 is a better return to the Matrix than Resurrections was. It's still got some rough edges, how the outlier extraction still worked when so many controlled humans were turned against them is extremely silly but a cracking episode anyway. |

Just catching up with this as I thought I would let a few episodes stack up. Its actually pretty good and actually quite clever.
I watched a recap of S3 before I started and, honestly, it now seems pretty redundant. Like you could go straight from S2 to S4 and not really miss much other than who Hale really is.

Another great episode.. Though surely They didn't bring Maeve back as the weapon just to be killed again an episode later without really doing anything.
Ending was a really good call back to the end of S1 with a great choice of music.
Did wonder what was up with the two groups passing one another in that corridor without any interaction.
Episode 8 has a lot to explain. |

Yeah. That, the earlier fakeout and the fact that three main characters got capped in the space of 30 seconds means the chances of any of that being ‘real’ are very slim.

Bernard's message to the ipad before the William entered makes me think it was a failed timeline unless he's sent that to someone who will get it in the final episode. The corridor bit was odd because at that point MIB hadn't overridden Christina's powers and she's been shown interacting with others unless they also aren't real and put in to stop her from being suspicious. But I thought it was just a this is 2 different timelines Westworld moment rather than her not existing in the real world(which probably should have been obvious with Teddy back.) And yeah I don't believe they just killed off 3 main characters within 2 minutes of each other. the trailer shows several scenes that haven't happened yet It feels like this is the end but I've seen interviews with cast members saying a 5th season is being made. |

I thought it answered enough to finish but rushed through it. Definitely could have had a 9th episode.
But yeah ended plenty of plot points but added enough to justify a 5th season.

I was looking forward to seeing some conclusion to it in a final season but I'm not all that bothered it's done. The first season was excellent but they seemed to be wanting to outwit the audience more than tell a good story with the subsequent ones.
