Been a while since I've posted anything, but hoping the collective hive-mind can help.
My weekly gaming group (four of us) is down to only three for the next couple of months. Any recommendations for games that are designed for exactly three players we can play in this time?
We're aware of For Honor and Knockout City so we'll be trying those two out (and Rocket League which we already play). But are there any others we should be considering?
Edit: List of specifically 3-player games suggested so far: Destiny 2 Apex Legends Rainbow Six Extraction Aliens: Fireteam Elite
Godfall For the King Outriders Trine

Rainbow 6 Extraction Sea of Thieves
Both work very well for the team of three that I'm in.

Enjoyed Godfall for a bit with two mates. Was fun enough once we got the combat and doing the tower.

That Aliens game is 3 players if it floats your boat. It's not actually too bad.

Good shout on Godfall - will definitely add that to the list (think we should all have it from PS Plus) and R6 Extraction a possibility too.
Should have clarified we only have PS4/PS5s so no Sea of Thieves for us, and even if we did we would presumably play it as a group of four - we're looking for games that we couldn't play as a four but can now as a three.

If you fancy a rogue-like, turn-based, board game type thing, 'For The King' isn't too bad.

Outirders is dumb fun but nothing too special.
Could always do a co-op run of Bloodborne or another FROM game?

Aliens Fireteam is a squad of 3. And fun if you don't play on Casual.

I'd recommend Fireteam if he was on Xbox with Gamepass (which isn't the case).
Can't imagine spending money on it. Like most people I'm a big Alien fan but we were bored after an hour.

Destiny 2? Won't cost you anything to try it out at least.

Casuals will play on Casual. *shrugs Didn't play on casual - just found the game a bit shit when compared to the games it was apeing.

I really enjoyed Outriders and I played solo. Would have loved to have done it in a team. Aliens Fireteam is alright. Not groundbreaking but plenty good enough to play through. Definitely need to play it on harder levels to get the most from it.
Don't think there are that many that are "only" 3 players though.
The other obvious one is Apex Legends.

Just here to add Outriders to the list again. It's a lot more fun than the sales figures would suggest.

Outriders is surprisingly good. The first hour or so is single player only but its 100% co op after that.
I remember the Trine games being 3 player co op, I thought they were a bit shit but others seem to like them

I would say: Valheim >>>>>> then Apex Legends, Deep Rock Galactic, Satisfactory, The Forest
Prob some others. I play with 2 other people mostly and they are fairly casual gamers. One especially. The above have all landed, aside from Apex (FPS is not one guy's forté, let's put it that way).

Destiny and Apex Legends both obvious really - should have thought of those!
Will update OP with all the appropriate games suggested.

Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enhanced Edition is currently on offer over at gog. 80 % off.
It does have a single player campaign, but multiplayer allows for at least four players. Might have been five, not sure.

Not really 3 player exclusive, but I've been having fun doing 3 player team Fortnite.
