So anyone been watching the playoffs so far? Really enjoyable first round and some great matchups for the 2nd as well.
Warriors fan since I arrived in SF in January 2016 and hopped right on the bandwagon. Such a fun team to watch.

Morant was fantastic for the Grizzlies, and I thought the game was lost as he's such a clutch player, but great play in the end.

Mavs fan here, looking forward for us to play well but spectacularly fail to get anywhere again. Mavs are my second team! Mostly because my company became one of their sponsors a few years ago. And Luka is one of the best at putting a team on his shoulders and coming up with magic moments. Expecting a tight series vs Suns. Hopefully Mavs in 7.

Rollercoaster of emotions the final minute. I felt a lot went right for the Grizzlies and they still couldn’t get over the line so confident on the series now.

Interesting couple of games coming up. Celtics and Suns favoured to win, but I have a feeling the Bucks and Mavs are going to do it.

I got the Mavs one right at least. Bucks fucked up the first quarter where they should have have been at least 15 points up.

Was a brilliant series from the Mavs and Luka’s playoff appearances and potential are both of the charts. I love his mentality. Expecting a tight series vs Warriors with Steph and co’s experience and the home advantage to tip it in their favor. Should be brilliant to watch. Really hope Kerr is back on the sideline but a pity it looks like GP2 won’t play a part as he would’ve been useful vs Doncic.

Really good start from the Warriors the other night vs Laker’s. Hopefully Wiseman can stay fit as he adds a completely different dimension to the team.
Lots of exciting teams on both sides of the league this year. Delighted it’s back!

Golden State have been awful so far. Yeah, brutal. Trying to bed in a lot of younger guys which isn’t helping earlier in games, but the closing out has been really poor by everyone.

Glad to see it on bbc. I watched the first half in my lunch break today. Will try and catch the rest of the series without knowing the score before watching on I player.
Recently got back into it after 10+ years not following it so I’ve no clue about 90% of the rosters.
Saw the celtics were number 1 seed and apparently have got the best all round starting 5 from what I’ve read.
In game 1 that 7ft white guy back from injury was impressive in all areas of the court.

I'm watching on the NBA app on the PS5. It was only €17.50 per season through the app. I'm the same as you, I'd heard of a few players like Lebron etc but no-one else. So I watched Lakers V Nuggets to see Lebron play, and liked the Nuggets. Then watched Nuggs V T Wolves, and really liked the Wolves. Being Irish I had been considering the Celtics, so am happy to have a team to support in the final. Is the guy you're talking about the very smiley dude? If so, he was lethal!

Not sure. He was 7ft 2. Eastern European surname and had one leg strapped up fully in white. In the first quarter he got like 4 three pointers, 3 epic blocks and 3 rebounds. And apparently he was injured for the whole play offs.
Yeah Celtic’s are your team then if you Irish:).
I’m a knicks fan just because I’ve seen them a few times live and back in the day I enjoyed their eastern conference finals vs the Chicago bulls/jordan. Epic battles.

It might have been Doncic, as he is fantastic but has had a number of injuries. It's one of my dreams to go to an NBA game! The only time I've been in the States, the season was over. I never liked the Knicks when MJ was playing, as for some reason I didn't like Patrick Ewing. I have no idea how they've been doing recently, but I think they made it to the playoffs this year

Yeah it looks like they had a half decent season but I think they’ve been pretty bad for many years. I’ve seen the knicks twice and the heat play and even both I got playoff tickets! In the knicks game it was versus the nets and this one nets fan was in there and the stuff he was saying during the game would have had him thrown off the balcony if it was at a football match . I’ve seen a few Yankee and giants (sf) games as well. Baseball is dull on tv but I really enjoyed the games live. The one I haven’t done but really want to is nfl. I imagine it’s much harder to get those tickets those as there are only 8 home games a year! KRISTAPS PORZINGIS is the name of that player.

That's a lot of really cool games to have seen! Did you live over there for a while?
I like NFL as well, but it's far behind basketball.
Besides that one guy, what are the US crowds usually like? They seem passionate but not riot passionate

USA crowds aren’t as passionate as football fans but they generally mix fans and allow alcohol in the stands which I’ve seen two fights break out. Both at Yankee games vs Boston. But overall it’s a friendlier environment than football here. It’s more friendly bants but sometimes those large bud pitchers cause some issues.

Still, sounds more up my street than soccer. One day...my older boy has started playing basketball and he's very tall for his age, so he might make the NBA one day

I was annoyed that bbc only showed game 1. I was wrongly assuming it was the series when game one was live then on I player. So I’ve had to watch each game after on 10 min highlights on YouTube which sucks. I did though come across a great Boston celtics documentary on their YouTube channel that’s been following the series.

Boston came out strong after game 4 but my favourite part was seeing them all celebrating at the end. Fantastic stuff, and I don't know why it took me so long to get the NBA app. It makes no sense the BBC only showed game 1, that's a kick in the balls. Thanks for the heads-up re the documentary, I'll check that out. Next stop, going to check out the slam dunk contest.

Thanks for that.
It's per season. It was €55 or so though the website but doing it through the PS5 it was €17.50 which is insane value.

I’ll check what it is on Xbox and I’ll get it before next season then. You can also join through prime so that I will check that.
