As the average FG user is approaching the age of 70, I thought why not have a thread dedicated to our rheumatic issues. Or our experiences growing up in times of 8 bits, pre internet and pre steel smithing. Our experiences with the young ones who meet us with respect for our wisdom and authority. More specifically and less lyingly, I'm trying to keep the Woke Thread clean. Discuss.

Ok. Do you guys actually know how old you are? Cos I have to work it out every time someone asks me (which isn't often). Just me?

I know how old I am, sadly, I just forget if I'm asked by someone because I stopped paying attention

I tend to have to stop and think about it for a second, unless I'm close to a milestone year like now (40 in July... FML)

When you look at your mate and they look as old as the hills...just remember they're thinking the same about you.

I spent most of my twenties and thirties looking younger than I was, and that's largely true now, but I fear once I hit 40 in less than a years time the ageing will have caught up, and will actually overtake.

I'm now in the process of growing a salt and pepper beard to look a bit more mature because I still look a bit fresh faced and want to look like a Chad.

I still can't actually grow a beard, even approaching 40. It's just patchy and looks like shit once it gets longer than stubble. It also takes ages for it to grow.

I was always a very young looking 20/30 year old. Now in my 40s I've grown a strategic beard. When I start looking old, I'll shave it off to young myself by about 10 years.

I believe you have to persevere, just keep it tidy and the patches will grow out. Just make sure you don't grow a neckbeard. That's unforgivable.

To be honest I find it gets uncomfortable before it can even itself out, just feels itchy and shit too.
To be clear I don't really want a beard. And if I did grow a beard I'd basically have gone full-hipster which would be hard to excuse.

Get rid of the neck beard and moisturise the rest and itching isn't too bad. I can't really talk, though. Normally get to the 3/4 week point and either shorten it or just fed up and shave it all off.
Wish my salt and pepper beard would hurry up and come through. Just got loads random grey streaks in my hair which looks shit.

Thank your lucky stars I've had a large grey streak in my hair since I was 14.
