I believe it's the Capcom event tomorrow, so we may see a bit more stuff. Also I think the next gen updates for Resi 2, 3 and 7 will be announced then too as some news sites have reported the new editions being uploaded to the ps store and minimum requirements for Resi 2 pc version have been announced.

I'm counting on Dragon's Dogma 2 being the "One more thing..." finale to Capcom's event!

Missed half of it so just catching up now. Glad I held off on starting Persona 3 via emulators now! Itβs P3P though, which isβ¦weird. I can't be arsed to find the relevant "errrrrwhaaaa?" meme that agrees with this.

Series S is about the same price as the Switch, tbf, and it'd let him play the Beth RPGs he wants.
Normally I'd recommend the Switch over an Xbox, but at this point he should wait to see if Nintendo announces the Super Switch 64 before buying a 5 year old console.

I kind of feel bad for not enjoying the MS show more. Huge amount of varied stuff on show, nearly all actual gameplay, all coming out in the next 12 months. On paper it ticks a lot of boxes, but a lot of it just isn't for me necessarily. That said, RedFall, Wo Long, Forza Motorsport, *Diablo IV, Starfield, Plague Tale: Requiem and Scorn should more than suffice in making a Game Pass sub worth it for the year. Assuming any of them are decent that is. Similar to me although not bovvered about Forza and meh on Diablo 4.

Fair point on the Super/Pro/Switch 2 but having said that, if you've been missing out on BOTW, MK8+DLC, Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3, Bowser's Fury, Xenoblade 1-3, Metroid Dread, Paper Mario, Smash, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Link's Awakening, Splatoon 2, Monster Hunter Rise etc. then you need to have a word with yourself.

Iβve missed out on all of them and itβs never bothered me. I have owned every Nintendo console up to switch. Never again. Buying a console for two releases a year on sub standard hardware playing the same old games is not for me.

I feel that Microsoft has an easy time of it with these trailer-o-thons. If you have Game Pass, these are all games that you will get to play for the price of your subscription. If you had to fork over Β£50-70 for each of these than they would be far less exciting, but with your subscription, as long as they look good enough to entertain for evening then that is enough to perk my interest.
This show did enough of that for me. Silksong getting closer is probably enough to make me gush about the show, but new Arkane, Starfield, the game from Rick & Morty writers, Persona games, A Plague Tale, As Dusk Falls, side scrolling Lovecraft game... and many more all looked good enough to at least give a go, even if I came away from them after a few hours.
Even Diablo IV looked interesting. I'm not that fussed on these sort of ARPGs normally, but this looks like it could have a bit more going on and a more dynamic world. It seemingly not being on Game Pass is a shame though and means I will probably not bother. These are the kind of games I would only pick up on a sale and Blizzard games never have much of a sale. Hopefully it will appear on Game Pass at some point.

Vandelay as long as the acquisition of actiblizz doesn't fall through it'll doubtlessly end up on GP. Think that's expected to complete by H1 next year, and I'd be surprised if Diablo 4 actually launches before then. (I'm betting on a winter 2023 release that ends up slipping to March 2024) If it does launch in spring by some miracle you'll just need to wait it out.

Realised 1 vs 100 return wasn't confirmed either.
Hopefully that's still coming.
So Pentiment is the only MS games studio release left this year? Not including Grounded due to it be early access for a while.

Gamepass is a ridiculously strong product right now.
Catching a bit of the PC show made me realise how hard PC gaming is marketed at children now. Phrases like "you can turn the RGB lights off so you can get some sleep". Everything is gaming chairs, lighty uppy headsets and Twitch/Youtube stream orientated. It'll eat itself before long. No one who has their gaming PC in their bedroom is buying top end hardware.

Thought it was a fairly decent conference all in all. People have been moaning (including myself) about the lack of games coming soon to Xbox and they showed off nothing but games being released over the nexct 12 months.
Redfall, Starfield, Diablo 4, Pentiment, Wo Lang, Forza, Cocoon, Benedict Fox and Persona will all get some time from me.
Nothing particularly 'wow' (except maybe Starfield's scope and Pentiment's art style) but a steady slew of potentially good/great games to look forward to.
Shame most of them will most likely be 2023.

I've only watched about half the PC gaming stream, but the skits and comedy bits were painful, as they always are. Devolver get away with doing the zany because they actually put effort in and it seems like they have a good team in the production of it, but here it just seemed naff and cringy.
Games were looking good though, at least from what I've seen so far.

Apparently Wo Long and the Persona reissues are coming to PlayStation as well as Xbox, for those who are interested.
Oh, and the Plague Tale: Requiem release date will be announced on June 23 - I know several of you lovely people are looking forward to that one.

I quite miss the old time when all the big news about upcoming games happened that one month. You get that all info dump in one go, waited for it, got excited and then move on.
but now
everyone does everything on random days and it is a constant river of news. and then you miss one and that's it. you might not find out about it until its released or there is big info about it, cause there are other stuff to care about.
like starfield. I only found out about it cause there were news about the delay.
maybe its just being old and cannot follow all those stuff, or nostalgia for late 90s when I was hyped when there was E3 coverage in my monthly pc gaming magazine...

It's only a 35 minute presentation so I'm not hopeful they'll be showing anything, especially as they have two releases for 2023 to promote.

I definitely will, but I also feel the Capcom Arcade Stadiums are making these and the past Capcom Beat Em Up Bundles pointless, since the majority of the titles in those releases are in the Arcade Stadiums as well. Stadium 2, which was just quietly announced, has a lot of the Street Fighter and Darkstalker titles announced for the fighting game collection.
capcom releases far too many collections.
