Starfield looks like 12 games in 1.
So massive and all encompassing that'll I'll never make a dent in it, because I have kids.
Maybe if I developed a serum to stave off sleep for 18 months?

Graphics are only decent and a bit ropey - as expected - but fuck me if they've nailed the scale and found something interesting to do in it... fuck. That's an Elden Ring-esque time sink looming in my future.

And I have to remind myself that Silksong is on GP as well, which is £11.99 saved right there.  Very hyped for that. Looking forward to Forza and a handful of other games too. Not a slam dunk, but a bunch of stuff in there that I'll enjoy. And Starfield... very excited. |

I can’t help but think it’ll be more like early NMS with a narrative tying it together. And a lot more grey.
It’s a no-brainier to play for a bit, obv, but by god Bethesda make ugly games. They really need a new engine. I still have Fallout 4 to play.

I had a similar thought when the first gameplay shown was walking past space beetles and mining ores, but my impressions changed quickly as it got into the combat, city walkthrough and NPC narratives. Plus the space exploration and ship combat. can't wait. |

The ambition looks incredible.
Only thing I'm not feeling is the janky looking visuals and combat, especially with the aliens.
I suppose both are to be expected in a Bethesda game, but it sucks me right out of the immersion. That graphics engine looks like it's barely coping.
Despite that, it's captured my imagination in a way like the original Mass Effect. Can't wait!

The poor engine was really chugging through most of that. I guess it will take 6 months worth of mods to fix it.

The controls do look every bit as janky as Fallout and Elder Scrolls. It's an easy pass for me.

Ambition of Starfield is great, really mixed visuals, some bits look pretty nice , some really poor.
Will be a mental time sink, where’s my V.A.T.S though?

Starfield looks to be a good cross between Destiny and No Man's Sky, well up for that.
Diablo 4 too looks a peach.
Minecraft one the kids want.
Flight Sim dlcs look great, might stand a chance with the choppers as I have a basic concept on how to fly one irl(can't but used to work with them).
I have never played a Forza game but that looks sweet too.

Oh fuck it's still Gamebyro, or a descendant anyway. A lot of the UI is mysteriously absent, considering how awful Fallout 4's is...
Anyway it'll be 1000 planets of nothing interesting, ala Skyrim.
