I'm very conflicted about that set. Jaws was favourite viewing when I lived at home with my late parents, so it's one of my favourite films.
On the other hand, I don't think the diorama itself would look great on display. I'd have preferred if they had the boat above and the shark below, like a recreation of the poster but with the Orca instead of the swimmer.
Also, and perhaps more importantly, my 5 year old loves sharks, and there is no way it would survive without being hidden away somewhere, which defeats the purpose a little

I think I'd be forced to alter the design slightly and have Quint without his legs and with a rather large amount of extra red blocks.

Yea I've never been keen on it since I saw it was on the way. I think the boat is pretty poor too. Though the (whole) shark and the boat can be displayed separately without the sea which does look better.

Yeah, the shark looks a bit too friendly but I do like the blood idea, Bill 😅
Yeah, if it drops to sub £100, I would probably pick it up.

Or a very tempting gwp might tempt a sale out of me. Is it me or have the gwp’s got pretty repetitive and poor recently? Seem more of them and more often but not as good quality as certain ones during last couple of years…

It doesn’t look that different to the other lego sharks we have, which would be the main draw for my boy. And the boat doesn’t look that special. So…

Couldn't resist back ordering the tuxedo cat set, as it's pretty much the spit of our own cat (aside from the tip of the tail, which I'm hoping we can find the pieces to change) It looks pretty nifty. I'll have to try not to go down the rabbit hole of a moc build for our white cat. I did exactly the same thing, modifying the face and tail to match our own tuxie. I hadn't actually received the last couple of black pieces by the nose, so there are still white flecks, but that's fixed now. I got the kit for my birthday. Did you assemble it and note the parts during assembly or work them out before hand? As I similarly need to asymmetric the face.

I tried to do it beforehand with the instructions, but in the end I just noted it as I assembled it. And took two goes to get it right (hence the white flecks on the right that aren’t meant to be there).

Super Mario World SetFuck. I am such a sucker for video game related Lego, this one looks like it could be my favourite so far.

Oof that’s a day one purchase for me!
I’m also considering getting the Jaws Lego set, not that I’m a massive Jaws fan, but the boat looks incredible.

That transforming lego bumblebee looks awesome. And not crazy expensive for once. I quite like the look of the new x-wing + tie fighter mashup as well, and the medium sized Star Destroyer that opens up.

Obviously you're trying to paste the video showing it, not Alan Partridge. No-one would do that!

I got this and the cat for my birthday and Bumblebee is awesome, also to scale with the Optimus Prime (e.g. smaller).

Yeah, that's exactly what i thought.
Even the battle via seems a slightly weird choice in that it gives so many iconic skins.
My first impression of all the others was negative, but on further thought the llama and peely seem like they might be fun builds. More display pieces for adults than fun for kids though. Not sure what's up with the burger.
I was expecting more location-based sets. Like tilted towers, or a bad station with a car, a dumpster and a few characters.

Lego D&D mini figs. I mean goddam it I’ve avoided these money pit figs for so long but these tempt me a lot!
(Also Lego pixelised Mario & Yoshi yes please!)

Picked up a non-Lego STEM kit from Amazon Japan for about 50 quid which includes a dual motor, plus color sensor and IR sensor, and which has a surprisingly decent app that allows you to remote control it over bluetooth with a tablet/phone. Has 20 different models you can build. Pretty impressed so far. The kid spent yesterday building the F1 car and driving it around, and today building a crane that can rotate and winch up/down.
I'm hoping it'll keep him occupied for a bunch of the summer hols.
The tablet app has direct controls, but also a Scratch style programming interface that allows you to create programs that'll control it based on timing or sensor input.
Build quality seems decent so far, although I feel like all these non-lego brands haven't had the 50 years to perfect their plastic, so it always feels slightly weaker than the official ones.
Doesn't seem to be on amazon uk though.

That’s a shame as it’s a bit anti-community but then guess there are only so many types of rl building types out there and they want to keep the line going for as long as possible!

Disney tax strikes again. £169 for that?
I'm currently building the Dune set and it is blowing my mind some of the techniques they've used.

Was in John Lewis with the family on Saturday and they had a Razor Crest. Queue a bunch of middle aged men (like me) gawping at it but nobody ended up buying it. It was like the Lego equivalent of bird watching.
