Anyway, my ear has been blocked for days, but somehow I just broke the seal as it were and now I can hear properly again. Didn't think anything to do with an ear could provide so much relief.

Got my boiler fixed this week after it broke last Sunday. Cost a small fortune as thing there was a long-standing niggle which got much worse.
After 5 days of no heating and hot water, that first shower... Dayum. And my radiators have never felt so efficient. Take for granted how comforting a warm house is.

It's my mum's 80th birthday today. Me and my brother are getting her a new iPad between us. Ordered it direct from Apple about a month ago, but because of the global silicone shortage the expected delivery time was 6 weeks and we weren't expecting it to arrive until 21st March. What can you do, I could tell she was a little disappointed about potentially having nothing exciting on her actual birthday.
Yesterday afternoon I get a "your order has been dispatched" email out of the blue from Apple, and it's arriving today.
Happy birthday mum 🎂

My pay just increased by 25%. Work are also throwing stupid money at me for overtime (just got £250 for about six hours work). Whilst not being on mega money, it has finally allowed me to think about saving for a deposit for a house/flat of my very own (it's either this or wait for my parents to die).
