Friendly forumites!
So today I was enjoying Elden ring on my PS5 and LGCX tv (bought a year ago) when I was again confronted with that horrible effect where instead of a gradient in colors you see the harsh borders of different colours. Colour banding it’s called I just found out. You know the effect right? Where instead of a nice change from black to something light (in a cave for instance) you see different kind of black ‘blobs’.
The annoying thing is that I have brand new future proof cables that should do the job. Can I fix this with my tv settings? It also sometimes happens watching Netflix.
Hope one of you knows how to fix this.
Ta!

Color banding? Maybe you can fix it by fiddling with the color compression settings.

How straight are these cables?

Maybe try a pixel refresh? Go to the settings menu > Picture > OLED Screen Saver > Pixel Refresher
And of course look if there's an update.

Remember the good old days when your TV didn't need software updates?
