Noel was OK. Good even. He doesn't have the same presence as his brother and his HFB material is a real mixed bag. Paul McCartney is f*cking excellent as always. His band is ace too. They really have to be TBH. If you were in his position you’d pick the best session musicians to back you up on what’s possibly the biggest gig on Earth. |

Can’t say that I’ve seen any boys on shoulders yet. having had a couple of friends who were under 5’5 it never seemed fair to raise them up and block other peoples view at gigs. Create some space for them and let everyone enjoy it. |

For years it wasn't legislated because gigs are on private ground but fireworks, flares and smoke bombs are now all punishable by fines and I think a possible short prison sentence. Since 2017. The difficulty is how do you get the rozzers into the crowd, and you can't search 200,000 people or however many are there. As an aside, I thought I caught a lot of booking for Bruce Springsteen. Have the Trumpists taken over this festival or something? |

That was a cracking set. Amazed at his energy - didn't look any more knackered coming off as when he turned up. Adrenaline must be pumping. Guess he'll have a lie in tomorrow.
I was saying to my wife that whilst D was a good surprise, I'd have thought B was a better fit. Lo and behold!
Some proper classics but felt the vocal balance was off a bit. Not sure if it is my AV setup but even some of the chat between songs wasn't very clear.
The flare wielding twats can definitely do one. They'll burn through you in a moment. Track em down and kick em out if it were feasible.

There’s a video of Anthrax playing in Chile from a few years ago and during the big mosh part of Indians there are guys leading the circle pit by setting off flares in the middle of the pit, indoors. It looks really wild and very dangerous. But also pretty cool.
