Omg fucking Yes Please. I've basically given up on Fallout as a franchise, but this could bring me back (for one game at least)

That could be interesting. What outcome do you think would be considered canon? The Brotherhoood of Steel would probably still be around and the NCR would most likely have won the battle.

Probably the one and only game that would make me consider buying an Xbox.

Probably side with the NCR would be canon.
I don’t think a “new Vegas 2” would really have to have anything to do with the first game (or be set in New Vegas) but more be a continuation of that style of game, dialogue, meaningful choices and story, instead of the fps-with-rpg-veneer that Bethesda makes.

I don't think they'd continue that storyline specificially. Probably won't even be called New Vegas 2. But yes, a west coast Fallout in the spirit of New Vegas would be awesome.

Yeah, downtown LA and the Hollywood hills would be cool. Or San Fran.
Seriously hyped for this already even though we know absolutely nothing about it. MS making great use of their studios

I reinstalled this at the weekend and spent several hours modding it up, but so frustrating with glitches and jank. An absolute gem of a game but feels very slightly out of reach on modern hardware and in comparison to more recent games. Would sell one of the children for a contemporary remake of this.

That’s what I want. I’d take contemporary remakes of Fallout 1 and 2 and New Vegas as the real Fallout Trilogy. I think they could leave out the DLC apart from that one really good one.

A modern Fallout game with a less janky engine would be very appealing. Just make sure I have my V.A.T.S.
I’d rather Alpha Protocol 2 though

I reinstalled this at the weekend and spent several hours modding it up, but so frustrating with glitches and jank. Take care with the saving. I eventually gave up on auto- and quicksaves completely after god knows how many corrupted saves and two failed attempts at replaying it. I didn't have much trouble with it on my first playthrough and the only mod I used the second time was "jsawyer" and I doubt that that kind of mod would be the problem.

I think all my Fallout playthroughs have ended when I could no longer walk around the map without the game crashing. The first time I'd put a good amount of time in so managed to extend my playthrough by looking up how to warp to different locations from the console but got to a point where I just thought why am I doing this, it's shit now

I thought I’d give Fallout 4 another chance. At the Corvega plant in Survival mode. Took out the leader (so completing the quest) then had teleporting Dogmeat, getting trapped in walls by teleporting raiders, somehow survived and fixed dogmeat, then he teleported again and I was killed by some asshole while trying to find him and revive him again. Woke up back at Starlight Drive In. Classic Bethesda. I always forget why I wind up deleting this game.

I sometimes ask myself if I would have enjoyed FO3 or 4 more if they'd just been called something else.
I think I've settled on "no, probably not". I don't think Bethesda are bad developers; they are clearly extremely good at some aspects of game design. But the things they are good at are things that I don't care about that much, and the things they are bad at are things that I care a lot about.
So I guess they're probably just not for me.

Wasteland 2 and 3 are great games if you’re after isometric Fallout.

I found I had a more advanced FO4 save and finally knocked over the USS Constitution quest. The finale was hilarious, well worth it.
