This game (well, more the article series it spawned!) is legend at RPS. A simple, browser based real time strategy game with all human players. When I say real time I mean it. Fleets take actual hours to arrive, you can be ambushed at 3am and all alliances are done through chat/role play so you have to take it on trust your ally wont double cross you. Its free to play apart from the host and I'm willing to host a game. We'd need at least 8 players, ideally 16 and if you last to the endgame we're looking at around 3 weeks to finish it. Suits those who are game for a laugh, don't mind role playing or having their sleep patterns buffered by paranoia. Happy to answer questions on here as we go. Strategy mechanics are very simple. Quick disclaimer: while I'll try my best not too it's possible I may die IRL mid game. I appreciate this is appalling manners, but note if I (or anyone else,) doesn't login for 72hrs the AI takes over their faction until/unless they return. Anyone interested? If I can play it on a mac and it's not too complicated / time consuming then I might be tempted. Never played anything like this before.

If I can play it on a mac and it's not too complicated / time consuming then I might be tempted. Never played anything like this before. It's entirely html5 so you can play it on a phone. And you'll want to, so you can check in on things. If read at least one of the RPS articles as it explains the basic mechanics. When you plan to move a fleet, you have 1 hour to change your mind. During that time your opponents can see that's your move. Once the hour has gone that fleet is locked into the move. If your opponent can get more ships to the fleets target before it gets there, it'll lose. In terms of time consuming, it'll never take you longer than 5 mins to make a move. It may consume your life deciding what to do and what your opponents may be planning though.

Neptune's Kiss was quite a bit deal on EG. Quite a big deal on here as well. Now that, I know how to play.

spacein_vader Nice one. I'll read those articles and see if it's something I'll be able to manage! Put me down as a "probably"

This seems interesting, but I think I'd a) be awful at it and b) not keep up with it as effectively as I should
