Anyone giving this a go? Sort of Diablo a-like with some MMO elements, fiercely pay to win unfortunately, but still might be worth trying at least. Preload available on Steam for a FTP release Friday 5pm GMT (good luck actually getting on servers on that day though), available now if you throw money at it. www.playlostark.com/en-gb

I remember being stupidly excited years back when the first trailers for it were shown but a lot less so once I realised it's an MMO rather than a straight up ARPG. I gave it a quick bash on the Russian servers a year or so back and came away not very impressed and had a very quick try last night though I was quite a few beers in so not the best time to try.
It does feel nice and awkward to play with a controller which I did try and persevere with and the anime stylings I'm not really a fan of but would really like to hear if someone has played it beyond the first few hours as I came away being a bit disappointed.

Yeah, I've given this a quick blast this week, just prior to the F2P launch. Played a Deathblade up to around 16 and now Gunslinger to 17.
Combat feels great, but way too early to tell in terms of the pay to win stuff. I sense with the gear upgrade system, which is basically gambling with resources, that some miserly RNG might well be what puts me off.
Also not sure the corridor-like maps, which just make me think of Diablo or PoE, will hold my attention for long. Finding it hard to break out of the MMO = expansive zones/biomes mindset.

Game just hit 1.17m concurrent users. Pretty insane ... especially considering every single EU server now has multiple thousands (and a few with over ten thousand) in the queue lol

Had a go for a few hours this morning, looks polished as expected, it's very hand-holdy at the start, and playing an ARPG with Lineage 2 vibes is weird.

Couldn’t get into it because of the utter lack of introductions to what all those buttons and screens do, although it was determined to not let me forget what the G key does.
Also, the compensation for having no penis visible to the naked eye whatsoever that must be defining physical attribute of the lead devs put me right off.

Rather enjoying it, but would seriously recommend watching a couple of introduction videos. Lots and lots of systems and currencies which can be a bit over whelming especially if you come to this with no MMO experience.
It really is big on the MMO systems. For example the class design is very much built around different buffs and debuffs. Can imagine a fair few come to this thinking it is some general hack and slash like diablo then get lost on all the detail. Just unlocked the engravings and would have been so confused if it wasn't for one of those videos.

The new EU region (West Europe) is up now with fresh servers. I may end up rolling again over there, losing all my bloody account reward shit in the process, just to alleviate the queue times.

In the same boat, the queues will go away though. If only our pets/mounts were account wide then would have no hesitation.
