I think something we don't do enough is remind ourselves about what we've done that we are proud of. I think it's important to remind ourselves that we are not as bad as that internal voice can sometimes want us to beleive. So, in the spirit of BGIE, (I think it was him), I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can say "I did that". It can be little or large, gaming related or life related. Whatever you feel proud of.
Cue the usual FG responses...

As an example, I've a low self esteem and often feel "I can't" or "I don't deserve" and I forget what I've managed in my life.
I dropped out of school to get a job as I didn't think my parents could afford to keep supporting me. I went off the rails a bit (thanks alcohol), but then discovered New Scientist and Nature and through them the Open University. I decided to take their Science Foundation Course and many years later I had a degree.
I left school with next to nothing, no idea what I wanted to do (I joined the miltary as it rained heavily as I was passing the recruiting office) and no idea I could ever achieve something like that. I was the first person in my family to ever get a degree and I still am. I worked hard for it and got some good grades along the way. I need to remind myself of stuff like his when the "I can't" voices start up.

I got 1000GS in a Telltale walking dead game once. I was quite proud of myself.

In all seriousness though, I had absolutely shocking work ethics as a young lad (he says while browsing FG during work hours...) Pretty much flunked out of uni because all I wanted to do was play HL2 DM and then later CS when people moved on to that. Got an entry level help desk job and got into heavy credit card debt immediately. Managed to sort myself out though and swiftly progressed to being a SME and on call within the space of 18 months or something silly like that. I've never really been career or qualification driven, so I'm sure I could be on a lot more money than I am now if I really wanted to, but I'm happy doing what I do, with the responsibilities I have. I make enough to overpay our mortgage regularly (and even have a house to begin with in this day and age), and could easily support my OH when she had to quit a well paying job due to stress and move to an entry level one.
I do still wonder where I'd be today if I hadn't wasted an education, but more out of curiousity than regret.

dfunked sounds like our career paths are very similar. I did great at GCSEs (A* and A/B grades), fine at A-levels (four B's), and then got a 2:2 at Uni because I did the absolute bare minimum. Went into a call centre job thinking "this will do until a proper job comes along". Cut to nearly 20 years later, I'm still at the same company, in a job I love, with a salary that keeps me and my family comfortable. I should probably be a few levels higher than I am, given the years I've spent there, but I've never been into the performance management/development stuff that you have to do in order to progress in most offices. I figure why rock the boat if the actual work I'm doing is rewarding and I'm secure where I am. And as a nice bonus, I just got a fairly hefty payrise purely because the company assessed the market rate for people doing my role, and figured they were underpaying slightly. It's more than I could have expected from a year of buttering up the right people and trying for a promotion, and I got it while doing the actual work I enjoy.

I also got 100% achievements in The Walking Dead season 1, but it doesn't really count for story games. Bastion is my only other 100%, and I actually had to make an effort with that one.

Got through the horrendous bereavement period of 2015 (the full story is told elsewhere), somehow reunited with an old flame two years later, and am now the proud stepdad of a challenging but loving family wherein I honestly believe I am making a bit of a positive difference.
Go us, FG!
