So I beat Sean on my first attempt. I’m also on my last life. His second form is a bitch, he knocked multiple lives off me in about a minute.
Beat Fajar without dying yesterday, and finished the Squats at age 24.

As much as I like this game, it's starting to hurt my fucking hands as I'm pretty tense holding it when I'm in the zone. Can't do stage 2 yet. I'm so shit.

Squats in 1 death. Got caught between 2 enemies and they just pinballed me - couldn’t prevent it, and died in about 3 hits.

I made it to the museum sub-40 (but only barely and with a non-neglible death counter...).

Anyone found a shortcut in 2 yet? I assume that key code door is one but I can't find the code anywhere.

I got a keycard pretty far into my first run through 2 that now lets me take the door on the right in the main room with the dance floor. No idea if there are any other, better short cuts than that. But I can get to the boss room in a few minutes that way.

If I remember right you get it in the area near the end that's burning, after one of the minibosses. Not sure exactly where but have a good look and it won't be hard to find.

There's a little box on the burning bit which is highlighted but won't let me press on it. Looked everywhere else and can't see anything.

I think you need a key for the little box, I haven't found that yet either. This is the fella you're looking for to drop it.

Some of the keys for earlier levels come from later ones. There’s a locked door in the first level that needs a key from the last level. Just pick up everything you can find and it should sort itself out over time.

Took me up to the Club to really think about practicing first. Using the training dummy at your hideout is pretty neat, almost felt like you are practicing before putting yourself out there like any kung fu movie.
But yeah, I've learned that the sweep and palm strike has its uses beyond doing physical damage. My big issue is with crowd control and while parrying is important, you learn that palm strike knocks enemies pretty far back, sweep brings an enemy down to the ground, leaping over low obstacles is like an evade window and can split groups up. It's interesting.
Dodging high and low attacks feels like I need work, I know now that enemies have limited movesets do I can better expect whats to block but dodging the high and low still feels like a gamble. Moves come out too fast and arent telegraphed well. But if you can do it, it just feels so exciting.
Felt like I uploaded my best effort last night so felt compelled to share it as I had seen other attempts being shared that weren't half as good (unbiased opinion)

I've been leaving most of them in case it isn't this one specific key I'm asking about.

I’m thinking it is more dangerous to be hammered into a table, wall etc than in open space? Seems I suffer more when kicked into an immovable object. Likewise, seems I can sometime do more damage to an oppo that way. Maybe just my screwed interpretation? If not, then maybe makes positioning the fight more important…

You should be able to waltz through the whole level now though, right?

I was walking through it anyway, just that cunt second mini boss kept taking a few lives off me. Happy I can avoid him now. I need to stop playing the first level over and over again, I just fucking love it.

Sean down on second attempt, didn't think he was actually that bad. Reckon I should be able to get him on the late 20's with that shortcut.

That's actually why the stumble recovery unlock can be quite helpful.

Getting a bit better now, getting out of the first level at around 30 but really should be much lower and I'm making silly errors. Think I've had 4 goes now, maybe 5.

So much of this is tempting me to buy it but I think the only part I won't like is the actual gameplay. I'm worried I like the idea of this game far more than I will the reality.

Apparently you can stop the minions turning yellow and going psycho. It's linked to takedowns, if you just beat the shit out of them without using a finisher they won't do it. Also you can spot the ones that will do it as they have a faint aura.

Yeah I noticed that a while back. It's takedowns that trigger them.
