Winnie the Poo just opened the Winter Olympics.

Anyway aside from racial genocides, financial warfare and general shithousery this is where we can watch people slide down hills in China on artificial snow and do sporting shit related to cold weather hurrah!
I'm just here for the ski cross. When does that start? Complete carnage, it's amazing.
Next Wednesday the snowboard cross starts. Ski cross is the week after that, final week. Part of the fun of that is the commentators, Ed Leigh and whoever else they have this time, losing their shit in the chaos.

I like the way that after spending the past year or two insisting that politics should be kept out of the winter olympics, the Chinese government decided to have a summit with Putin and make a joint statement on Nato, Ukraine and Taiwan on the day of the opening ceremony.
Did they forget?
PS/ If the actual Winnie the Pooh opened the ceremony, that would have been great.

I'm kinda boycotting it, but given that I don't usually watch it, and only really have any interest in the snowboarding, I don't think it really has any meaning. I'm not supporting it, at any rate.
