I think Divinity OS 2 is probably the game I enjoyed least on the list, and I’m shocked NEO The World Ends With You didn’t make the top five because I’ve been playing that forever.

3 of the 5 games in my top 5 list, including my most played (Kuro no Kiseki, Disgaea 6, Labyrinth of Galleria) don't have pictures because they're Japan-only releases at the moment. If nothing else it's another demonstration of how little SIE actually care about Japanese games when it's not stuff already brought over to the West.

That is 203 hours of Yakuza and doesn't include kiwami,3, 4 and 6, so it was definitely year of Yakuza for me.

Yeah I seem to remember Shenmue II in particular spanning pretty much an entire school summer holday back in the day. I remember the 'Man Mo ......' search taking pretty much an entire day's play when you can get it done in about 2 minutes if you know where to go.
I guess when you know exactly where to go/what to do to trigger major plot points on repeat playthroughs the time it takes is reduced by a huge amount across the entire game.

I think I got lucky a few times and basically spammed every person asking for advice. My girlfriend kept saying EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME for a good few weeks. Also at the end I did skip a bunch of dialogue as I think it dragged on.. I thought yes I've completed it.. no... I've got to follow a really confusing path that you can get lost in pretty easily. |

There's a definite element of luck in there with those games for different people. It doesn't have traditional gateposts so you can stumble upon the answer long before you've done everything you were 'supposed' to do along the way.
Really was quite ahead of it's time in certain respects.

My usage is less than half what it was when the kid was a baby. Now he’s almost 3 I either don’t have the time or I’m too tired.
If I hadn’t been working from home so often I’d probably be down by another half.
