A boxed copy of Grand Prix Legends which came with a paper manual and fairly uniquely a 100 of so page book explaining the era, driving techniques and how to set the cars up. It's a thing of beauty.
Wasn't even a special edition, every copy had this. The sim was so hard it needed a training manual!

You might want to check that, I cleared out my mum's attic a few years back, and my a1200, a500, game gear, gameboy color and neo geo were all dead. Yeah. I dug my DS Lite out of storage for the kids a few months back, and the touchscreen didn't work anymore.  I really should dig out that Gameboy Micro and give it a charge and make sure it's still alive. Got a used Guitar Hero 3 guitar and game in the post yesterday. Seems like one button isn't working, so I'm gonna have to try and fix that. Luckily it's the 5th button, which I think is only used on the hard mode |

I've got a couple of thousand pounds worth of pen and paper RPG games in my attic which are as good as I get. I started with D&D basic and expert and went from there. My mum made me throw out a lot when the papers were running the whole "satanic" crap.
I'd be happier if I was playing it still though. I'll have to start selling it on eBay I guess.

So I was trying to find some photos of some of my old swag that I used to get sent when I worked in kids' TV. The best I can do is this horrible photo of me modelling the jacket, sweatband, and wig sent to us by Sega to promote Virtua Tennis. The genuinely-quite-nice sports bag is just out of frame, unfortunately.  |

I’ve got a promotional edition of Remothered that I won in a Eurogamer pub quiz raffle run by the Outside Xbox team. It’s a pretty massive and well crafted , but creepy af, handmade wooden box containing various internal door and drawers which contain various bits of swag, including a resin figure of a scary nun. Only ten were ever made.
It’s definitely the rarest thing I own. But in terms of value, seeing as the games weren’t well received, the thing is so unwieldy and possibly cursed… yours for a tenner.

Being an old git I've had lots of consoles over the years before PS4/5 - Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, US import SNES, N64, XBOX, xbox360. Regretfully never kept any of them (wish I still had the Atari & SNES). The only collectors edition I've ever bought is for Horizon Zero Dawn so my prized possession is the Aloy statue.  |

I didn't think I had any valuable gaming stuff but I think it may actually be my Old Hunters future press book though, which I had no idea until recently was actually worth a wee bit. Looks like a couple of hundred now, which is nuts.
I've got all three Dark Souls Design Works books so I'm wondering if they'll go up in value at any point. Apart from that I've got a few PS2 games that go for a bit (Silent Hill 2, 3 & 4) and some other gumpf lying about.

I think I've got you all beat. I have in my possession the premiere DEDSEC edition of Watch Dogs 1. It comes with a wicked box and a figure of the historic gaming legend, Aiden Pearce, complete with his iconic hat and scarf. Invaluable really. rawshark I'd actually be interested in seeing that. Yeah I think it just had a lower than usual print run because it's a strategy guide for a DLC addon rather than a full game. I'm gutted cos I had the chance to order it at the time but I passed on it |

I wonder how all these game related bits of merchandise will be viewed in the long term. /Antiques Road Show 2042 I have this Horizon Forbidden West Statue from 2022, how much should I insure it for?
A Ginger Shrek Alloy statue, I thought they'd all been destroyed in the Sony purge of 2029, I didn't know any had survived.
Is it worth a lot?

I can't really talk, I was feeling pretty put out that I missed out on getting Resident Evil action figures. They're been silly expensive for years now.
