I'd forgotten all about them. Had them on repeat a while back after hearing them in Forza Horizon 4, might have to give them another listen. Their album Battle at gardens gate is well worth a listen. Sacred the thread and meeting the master are the new songs for new album in July. The fact they are early 20s and doing music like they are is impressive with the current shit that’s about. Either that or I’m just getting old!

Think I've made the mistake in the past of lumping them in as a Led Zep clone.
Doesn't help that I'm not a massive fan of that style rock and roll.

This is pretty cool. To me, musically it falls somewhere between Philip Glass and Sunn O))).

I've been putting off cleaning the house all day long. Now I've started with a bottle of wine tenacious D and I'm slowly working through this mess. Current track is one of my favourites, double team! Especially love the first half of the track, I keep starting it again.

This guy’s day job is as a wildlife photographer/filmmaker and he had his own series on BBC Scotland about hiking and canoeing around the countryside. Its unfair that he’s also talented enough to soundtrack with his music that’s this god too.

I don't care what anyone says, Genesis had some great tunes and this Ghost cover is fun.

Life ain't nothing but a blending up of all the ups and downs... Truckers - The Dirty South One of my favourite bands and favourite albums - so good live too. Looking forward to the re-release of this album, couple of new tracks and updated audio mixes. Lovely.

Read a long article about reevaluating it so going with this again. There are bits and pieces that sound good like the odd riff or hook but even with the better mix this version everything feels like a first draft and every song feels like section that have been placed beside each other rather than cohesive songs that flow.
And the lyrics are almost uniformly embarrassing.
Its really weird looking and realising that James and Lars were still in their 30s when this happened.

I was so unashamedly excited about the release of St.Anger that I convinced myself it was excellent (I was in my early 20's what did I know). I admit that in their back-catalogue it ranks low, but I still have a very large soft spot for it.

It's a very weird album. I do like a couple of songs on the but it's pretty bad.
But weird. Obviously the drums sound weird, but stuff like slide guitar riffs that just feel very out of place... It's a mess.

Its not good but I feel closer to it than I do to technically “better” albums like Death Magnetic, Hardwired or 72 Seasons. Or Lulu which is worse.
The amount of times I’ve watched Some Kind of Monster might be something to do with that. I was very excited for St Anger when it first came out.

Jesus, that last song on the new Foos album fucking choked me. Also apart from a couple of more generic songs, it's a very strong album.
