Haven't gone back to build mode. Whatever meagre building skills I had before have long since gone rusty.

They appear to have increased the size of storm circles and it's thrown the pace of the game off. There can be long stretches now where I just don't seem to encounter anyone at all, even from afar, and sometimes it'll be down to 20, 15 people and still feel too open and deserted. I assume they wanted to account of the increase in map size but I hope they recalibrate it soon.

Besides that, I like mostly everything about this update. The new area is lovely and Mega City is a neat change (though it never feels quite like a crowded hotspot, probably due to sheer size). The kinetic sword is so much fun. Wish they'd left some dirt bikes behind, but the motorcycles are fun to drive in a straight line. The scope glint, the new AR, the dashing komodo man, etc.

It would be very odd, especially considering they just worked with CDPR, if there isn't a Cyberpunk collab planned. The smart pistol they're bringing out even looks a lot like one from the game.

If anything the storm circles are now faster which should push people together.

The reason I believ you're having long periods without encountering other players because a lot of players are now camping in a bush, tree or on top of a building with a sniper.

The availability is absurd, they're everywhere and blue heavy shouldn't be an instakill. Plus they need to nerf the sniper augments.

That weapon has changed the game. I'd say they account for 70% of my deaths. End game is now 3 - 4 people hiding with gold heavy snipers

The gameplay is a lot less fun IMO.

Yeah, I rarely get killed by a sniper, but I do get shot at a bit. Just keep on the move and don't run in straight lines or stand still!

Conversely I've found mega city to have the most players and the rest of the map fairly empty 😂

You can still grab some free stuff and v-bucks even without the pass, right?

Don't even need to gt to the end. I think the battle pass is 950 and you get 1300-1500 per battle pass. So you only need to make it to about 70%.

You can get about 400 each season even without buying the battle pass mind you.

I think the skins are all kinda 7/10 this season. Last season was a bit meh too, but some better some worse.

Maybe after a few seasons it's just reached the point where getting a new skin isn't that exciting as I already have 50ish. The first battle pass it was super exciting to get some new skins after using the default for so long.

I'd quite like the cyberpunk bunny one, if there was a way to have it without the dumb ears. And there's a couple of good ones in the bonus skins, but I doubt I'll play enough to get those this season.

I dunno, it always feels like it had a lot of quests. I guess this month there seems to be a lot of extra ones linked to events and content.

But then I kinda feel the same about bank holidays this month as well, so maybe it's just one of those months where everything turns up at once 😅

I seem to have accidentally finished the battle pass, despite not really being into this season. I think trying to do the Star Wars quests for the Pod Racer emote meant I got loads of XP without even trying.

Just had a look at the bonus rewards, but the first 3 pages don't really have anything I want on them, other than maybe the fan lady fire skin... doubt I can be bothered to grind all the way through those to get to page 4.

Oooh. Now I'm wondering if Jurassic Park will get a cinema re-release.

I thought the kinetic blade was deadly, but the lightsabers were lethal if you could get up close. Good for taking out bosses.
That said, I found them all less annoying than the shockwave hammer. Maybe it's just because I was better with them myself, but it felt like there was more chance to get away from them with a sliver of health remaining.

I wasn't a fan of the highwire skins due to the bunny ears. But if you put the hood down and then use a back bling that hides them then it's not bad.

I’ll miss the end of season event as I’m away, but I got to the end of the battle pass and even managed all the bonus stuff up to the first shiny purple one.

I didn’t mind the lightsabers or the kinetic sword, but HATED the ODM gear- couldn’t get the hang of the sword move and kept dying in the last few to someone I could barely keep track of.

I’d like a Jurassic Park crossover, they do already have Raptor type dino wildlife from the Primal season

I wasn't around for the Primal season, but it sounds a bit similar to that.

I don't hate the huge ice area as much as I did at the beginning, but if they swapped out half that area for a jungle I wouldn't complain.

If they actually do a real Jurassic Park collaboration, I want a Dr Malcom skin with an open-shirt sexy pose emote, and a Bob Peck skin with a Clever Girl emote.

I don't mind the skins this season, at least there's no crappy anime ones.

Because of the jungle theme I decided to use my Predator skin while I'm starting out and exploring the new bits of the map...
