A console version of Rust came out on Xbox One and PS4 last year.
It was originally a PC survival game that initially released in 2013 and full released on Steam in 2018.
It started development life as a DayZ clone with elements of Minecraft thrown in.
It looks kinda rough but this is one of the most addictive and compelling games I've ever played.
The players and community are generally super fucking toxic and there is no tutorial whatsoever, the learning curve is so vertical it makes absolutely no sense to play this as a solo noob.
Does anyone here play this or interested in playing? We would need like 1 or 2 seasoned players to order us about (tell us what to do, build our bases etc).
I've been playing as a farmer/gatherer running missions and occasionally taking part in raids and battles. But I've left my Rust group and need a new one.
It's cross platform Xbox/PS. Anyone interested?

Played it in the very early (red animals early,) stage until about 2 years ago when I burned out. The loop is compelling but you do really need to find a good aerver/group as like you say it is brutal. I don't have the time and energy to get back up to speed with it but I hope you find people willing, it's a great game with a good bunch of people.

I played it a bit in the early access too. It was too toxic for me to enjoy.
Quite honestly I'd play Ark instead.
