Watching Il Lombardia, wish I was in Italy just now. Cracking scenery.
Went out today and it was warm enough (just) but blowing a bleedin' hoolie as it has been for the last few weeks.
Autumn winds are a pita. They're stronger and getting colder. 😢

I kind of hope he at least can make it to the event. It was a real shame he didn't this year, but there's no sentimentality in sport i guess.
He'd probably have got that stage if he had been though! Through sheer bloody mindedness if nothing else. 😀

I think he will too, twilight of his career but recent results show he’s training and looking after himself well enough to be competitive. The only rub for me is he’s not quite the magic wheel surfer some sprinters are, what kind of leadout is he going to have?

Eh? Cav is legendary for his ability to read a sprint and hang onto the right wheel at the right time, plenty of his wins have come without a functional lead out. In any case, the article linked up there says he’ll have Bol, Richeze and Sinkelman on the team which sounds pretty decent

I see Eurosport Player is to be discontinued, and will have to watch via the Eurosport app. On Apple TV, going to have to use the Discovery+ app. Blech.

I used GCN+ the past year, got a TV that the app wasn’t on and ApplePlay was a bit flakey so I started calling up the web browser to watch, works really well. Are there Eurosport streams on the web you could use?

Another shout for gcn+ here, eurosport got binned from my bt sport sub, so got it for the cycling. £40 a year and decent value if you watch the big races and some monuments /classics.
Plus all the news & other gubbins too.
