Fuck You 2021 - The OFFICIAL NYE vent thread

Having this thread and the other new year thread is blowing my mind. It's chaos.

There we go. Other one can be celebration and drinking and auld lang syne and all that, this one can be venting the shitness of the year.

Wasn’t that bad for me. Played some good golf, work was almost enjoyable at times, no one I know got ill from COVID or died

You can’t really ask much more than that

I got a nice new house, a nice new dog, and nothing much to complain about. Also had a complete mental breakdown and can’t go outside anymore. Swings and roundabouts.

It's been a pretty good year all things considered. Moved house after being convinced we'd never sell our quirky old place (I'm still amazed we managed it!). Our mortgage advisor fucked up her calculations somehow so we also ended up with an unexpected £10,000 in the bank after the sale.
Quit my job due to stress and many other reasons and had a pretty fucking nice end to the summer just chilling in my hammock reading a book and trying to get over the toxicity.

Also ended up with my share schemes from my old job maturing when I expected to just get my money back 1:1, so was able to cash those in and overpay our mortgage and get monthly payments down a bit.

Slowly getting to grips with drinking and turned that from an almost daily thing to weekends only.

There's obviously been a lot of awful shit going on at the same time, but positives like this have definitely taken the edge off it all.

I've said this before but I'm not getting my hopes up for 2022, it sounds too much like 2020 2 - the shit sequel no one asked for

I got nothing to write in this thread, yet.

Unlike the guy who was driving in front of me this afternoon who oversteered on a bend and hit the concrete on the left side with his front then did a 180 and hit the same barrier with his rear. He wasn’t even going that fast, certainly no more than 60, I’m sure he now knows why the limit is 40 there (that’s km for anyone in doubt). I stopped and saw the guy behind me approach very fast, so moved up some 5 m and he managed to brake. Not the one behind him, that one chose the concrete barrier to the right rather than his rear. I quickly evacuated to get away from anyone else coming up from behind.

Here's hoping I don't meet another crazy ass woman in 2022. PLEASE.

The intermittent fireworks are making me jump, which makes my pulled rib muscle contract in agonising fashion. Fuck NYE as well as 2021.

Also I have an amazon delivery turning up between now and 9pm and I feel like a right arsehole about it

I'm going to preemptively say fuck 2022,i liked 2021. It was another year I didn't see my in-laws and I don't think I'll be as lucky next year.

But it's a good year and I've managed 2 years without their drama.

I know on a global scale is been another shit one for humanity/the planet. But I've had a pretty good year and things should be even better for 2022. 🍾🥳

We had fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and boiler all break in a single month. Fuck you 2021!

Also had a rotten cough for almost four months. Seems like it is finally clearing up, ready for 2022.

Was also ruminating earlier 2021 was a year in which I didn't really "achieve" anything. Didn't learn a new skill, have a baby, move house, change job, get promoted, do a triathlon, etc. Just worked from home all year, did lots of childcare and house work, went on holiday to see family in Scotland twice. I didn't even rank platinum this year in ranked Rainbow Six Siege. Hmm I have 3 hours!!!!
