I don't have any past experience of Don Lemon's career but if he was fired because of this then it's CNN that are in the wrong. Lemon was right.

Fuck Don Lemmon but if the above video is one of the reasons he got the boot then that is deeply troubling to say the least.
Obviously Tucker can fuck off into the sun.

Not sure firing your biggest star when you just lost $700M makes much financial sense, but yay.

It's definitely weird. Like sure, a lot of what he said made for a very bad look for Fox in the lawsuit. But most people who watch Fox aren't going to get information from anywhere else, so they won't care. And they love Tucker.

Latest Legal Eagle has some good info about why Dominion settled and lots of the evidence they were using. Fox News will be paying Smartmatic too before trial as well by the looks of things.

Some of the replies to the announcement are great: The Murdochs are liberals. Oh, the headbangers are ANGRY!

Some of the replies to the announcement are great: The Murdochs are liberals. Oh, the headbangers are ANGRY! Notify the writers of the Merriam Webster dictionary, the word "liberal" has been redefined to mean "anyone who doesn't (or stops) agreeing with me/sharing my views"...

So as things stand, the candidates are Trump, Haley, and probably DeSantis for the Republicans, and Biden and Kennedy for the Democrats.
All the faces and all the palms in the world somehow can't do this situation justice.

I like Joe. A cool end to his life to be the oldest President for all time, against the worst president in history.

I don't have a problem with Biden per se, but it's hardly a ringing endorsement of the Democratic field if he's the best candidate they can muster.
Biden was a good choice last time around - a steady hand and a voice of reason after four years of chaos under Trump. He was picked to do a job, and he did it very well indeed.
This time around, I'm not so sure. Who'll be his running mate, for starters? Harris hasn't exactly set the world alight as VP, and their once-tight bond now looks frayed to say the least.

It must be weird to live in a country that doesn’t change leader every 6 months and face constant white-anting from their own side.

Hasn't Biden has achieved a huge amount? Not just feelings or words. Major legislative success in country, overseen pretty successful midterm results politically, and been hugely supportive of Ukraine and Europe's security.

"White-anting is an Australian term for the process of internal erosion of a foundation. It is often used in reference to groups such as political parties or organisations where information from group insiders is 'leaked' or used to undermine the goals of the group."

I wish Biden wouldn't run. But then again all the people I want to run are people who'd probably lose against Trump. Sigh.

I think we established in another thread that I know nothing about Succession. I don't think it terminates the government. The Vice-Pres takes over. Unfortunately I imagine AOC running in any capacity would galvanize the Trump vote in the way Obama's presidency did. Apparently the best way to beat an old white guy is to field your own old white guy.
Unless it also galvanized the young progressive vote in the way Obama's first run did.
I assume someone somewhere has done head-to-head polling of the various candidate combinations.

Actually, does that just terminate the government? What are the sucession laws for illness or death? A quick search says the succession line goes President -> Vice President -> Speaker of the House -> President pro tempore of the Senate. Then various secretaries, I didn't look at the exact order past Senate President.

VP doesn't ever really do anything though, right? Once the election campaign is over they just kinda fade away.
I assume if Biden runs again she probably runs as VP again?

Poorly, I believe, amid rumours of infighting between her staff and Biden's.
No doubt one of our US contingent will know more.
