Comedy roasts can be brutal but at least you can tell its among friends. When a group of comedians did it to Ann Coulter, it didn't feel that way. For good reason.

JD Vance having a crack at being a normal human being by visiting a donut shop: " I'm JD Vance. I'm running for VP of America." "Okay" I love that response "uh huh, that's the fifth guy that's said that this morning.."

Quite impressed with the speech Harris gave at the end of the DNC, she certainly sounds up for a fight and was pulling no punches on Trump, obviously it was on the jingoistic side (duh) and the Israel stuff was so down the middle it wouldn't have satisfied anyone but that too is no surprising either.
I can't imagine that Biden could have done anything approaching it to get the Dems and maybe undecideds going and I'm sure he knew that he'd made the right decision.
Trump was not happy on Truth Social, yet another unsurprising thing!

His reactions were excellent, I think he was lulled into thinking he wasn't getting touched as she looked like she was avoiding it and then she wasn't.
And it kept going.

Looks like Kennedy has pulled out of the ballot and is endorsing Trump.
Edit: not dropping out, but removing his name from battleground states to prevent harming Trump’s campaign. Is that allowed? Surely it should be all or nothing?

What they should have done him on all along is treason, because that’s what he’s done.

Thanks. Although I’m still a bit confused. Obviously if you only run in limited states you’re not planning on winning - so what’s the main goal there?

In a bipartisan system (especially this US fucked-up system) splitting the vote of one party into two candidates can easily give the state and its electorates to the other party.

The Libertarians regularly do it just to get a bit of a notice, if you got even 1% of the vote it'd get people to pay attention. Ditto other fringe parties like the Greens, its just to get noticed. Kanye it was both because it was a weird publicity stunt AND he filed papers late/incorrectly in some states. Then there's people who would, but can't actually afford a national campaign so just run in places that they'll get the most attention.

Other weird ass facts. The electoral college isn't obligated to vote for a whole ticket as president and vice president are separate elections. Parties have managed to run different presidential in different states. They've also managed to vote for different vice presidential candidates for the same presidential candidates at various times.
As there's basically no rules except each state gets X electoral college votes.

The fuckery at the state election level Trump’s best chance of winning now. If he can force something to his Supreme Court things could get very messy. That’s why a convincing win for Kamala is so important imo.

There's almost no doubt she'll smash the popular vote, it's just a question of which states she can win now.

It's just bullshitting imo. Harris has been getting too much media attention, and he's desperately trying to drag the spotlight back to him.
