Whilst I certainly hated all the "funny" British superheroes of my youth (all mentioned already - Supergran, Banana Man, SuperTed, ugh), as a grown up I particularly hate Iron Man.
I mean, I liked him a lot with the RDJ version in Iron Man 1, but every single movie he's been in, he got slightly more annoying, and the last few Marvel ones, he was basically unbearable. And he started seemingly wearing guyliner which just made him look like an ageing nonce which didn't help matters.
Then they killed him and we're supposed to pretend it's some great loss rather than just in time before he actually started putting people off movies.

Yeah Iron Man was a right annoying twat.
They even made one of those new Spiderman films basically a 2 hour eulogy to him. He was like the third Gilmore girl in a robot suit ffs.

It'd be easier to list the ones I don't hate. For the most part they're either boring, two-dimensional bollocks or irritating little dweebs.

A someone who enjoys the films, and cartoons, and has bought more of his comics than any other hero's... I'm gonna risk being controversial and say Batman. You always hear his fanboys reiterate "he has no powers, he's just a guy who works out and risks his life every night," but no, he's a traumatized man with infinite money who just happens to have a counter weapon to every villain he faces. People say Superman has too many powers, but Batman's even more of a Mary Sue with his gadgets to every threat.
Also, how is he so rich? His parents died young, and they were doctors, not billionaire inventors. At least Tony Stark's father was a tech engineer.

Storm - ooh look at me, I can create a thunderstorm which is perfect in this extremely contrived situation I find myself in for some reason. She should be off ending a drought somewhere or solving climate change.

The Arrowverse Flash. I'll just fail to beat this week's challenge, then I'll rally together with my gang of pathetic cunts at Star labs and learn to run faster than I ever have before so that I can win... Yawn.

Before anyone mentions him I’m going to get in early with Cyclops is underrated and misunderstood I never quite got Cyclops hate, I have to admit. He's a bit bland or weak-seeming at times, and he's certainly one of the more boring X-men in terms of powers and background, but the degree some people seemed to dislike it him always seemed a bit off, and maybe more to do with them liking Wolverine and buying into the very contrived rivalry between the two. I don't think it's really controversial. There are takes on Batman that have been pretty fun (BtAS primarily), but even in those, Bats is often the least-interesting character on screen at any given time. Dude's success rests very heavily on his villains, and as time goes on we're gradually seeing how audiences are actually more interested in them than Bats himself. The Lego Batman movie takes the piss out of him pretty effectively, though honestly it could have gone harder at times. And whilst a lot of his fans just like the "cool" (?!?!) Batsuit and his tremendous preparedness and so on, there's definitely a subset of fans for who Bats is "Punisher Lite". On top of all that Bats is just wildly overexposed. There's too much been done with him. We're getting yet another pointless iteration soon, which seems to be "Edgy Metal-Goth Batman" from the trailers.

I’ll put it out there that while the Fantastic 4 are iconic characters, they should never be in another film. Three strikes and you’re out.

I’ll put it out there that while the Fantastic 4 are iconic characters, they should never be in another film. Three strikes and you’re out. Agree completely. There's just no way to translate what works in that comic book to film. TV, maybe you could do it, but the Fantastic Four are really weird bunch, their origin story is dumb, it's really hard to get them to link up with their comics nemesis, who doesn't even seem to exist in the MCU (Doctor Doom), because their whole concept and style doesn't really interact with him, and to top it all off, whilst they were big up into the 1990s, they didn't retain younger fans and now the last generation of people who liked them are in their mid-50s and up mostly (some exceptions apply). I did see one person suggesting basically do it as a comedy, cast comedy actors, and then gradually make it more serious, but not entirely and they haven't tried that yet, but that would seem a bit desperate because if there's one thing the F4 comics aren't, it's funny. They're more po-faced ultra-serious epic-conflict stuff with lots of magic-baby-related drama.
