It's one thing I'll never understand, the mongs who feel the need to defend the corporations in moments like this. They're somehow anti-consumer despite being the consumer. I don't even know where to begin with it. Yeah, there is something wrong with them. Its like those GTA trilogy ports from a year ago. utter pile of shit of port but you had gamers defending the studio and these ports (and not just GTA fanboys)

Has anyone played Miasma Chronicles?
it looks good and has some good reviews but can't find much info if has the usual xcom bullshit of 92% to hit and you miss 3 times while the enemy hits you with 42% twice in a row sort of shit
If only there was a way of playing a bit of a game to try it out... nah publishers don't want that

Rise of the Ro...nin? And here I thought for a moment that someone had decided to remake the best game of 1994.

Geometry Dash 2.2 is finally out after about 6 years. I don’t see the appeal but my kids are going nuts about it.

Wasn't sure where else to put this. One of the developers of Alien Resurrection for PS1 has admitted he put a cheat code in the game to 'swap discs'. Basically turning the game into a boot disc for pirated games. Or 'backups' as MVG calls them.

Not sure where to put this, but I'm thinking of getting one more game before the year's out, and I've narrowed it down to Like a Dragon: Ishin! or Wild Hearts - any thoughts on which I should pick?

Apparently Frogwares are now the sole publisher of The Sinking City and the whole legal kerfuffle has been resolved. They are warning that there is going to be an update and that people should finish their playthroughs until Feb 28th.

Sounds like that Prince of Persia Metroidvania is surprisingly not a load of shit. John absolutely gushes over it in the recently uploaded Digital Foundry vid, which just made me realise the review embargo is up.

I thought it looked fantastic from the trailers. Apparently Switch was the target platform, so it will run beautifully on every other platform.

It does look great. Well up for a flashier metroidvania that’s not another fucking pixel art game.

Turns out there’s a demo available for it.
Seems rather excellent far. Getting nice Shadow Complex vibes from it.

Huh. This has gone from not really knowing it was even a thing until earlier today, to a definite buy. Demo is great.

The map function that lets you save a screenshot as a map marker is genius.

Just finished the demo. Metroidvania it may be, the Souls influences are pretty obvious (enemies aren't just fodder and will often use delayed attacks) but it seems good overall. And it runs beautifully even on my laptop. Yeah it is quite lightweight in graphics. That's no bad thing if it means great performance with no stutter in sight.
Didn't have too much trouble with the keyboard and mouse, but it does look like a game that benefits greatly from a controller.
Not so sure it's a must buy just yet, maybe when it's on sale? I'm afraid 2D Souls combat doesn't really do it for me nowadays.

As promising as this looks, how is it a full price release in this day and age? £45?!

Really enjoyed the demo, nice to employ some skills from playing the original Jordan Mechner game back in the day but it's something I'll pick up when it's on sale, I've got too much on the go to be spending full whack on a Ubisoft title considering how quickly they tend to drop in price.
Thumbs up for the demo though, that was a meaty chunk of a game to your teeth into to see how it plays.

So many people were eager to take a dump on this game when it was first unveiled, so I'm glad it actually turned out to be good.

Wasn't it the PoP:SoT remake everyone was dumping on? It looked fucking dreadful and is still MIA.

You could always just sub to Ubi+ or whatever it's called for a month. I'm tempted to do that to catch up on this and Motorfest. Maybe even a couple of months for AC Mirage as well.
