Does anyone have any experience with gaming headsets for kids? About age 12?
Would regular sized adult ones be ok, or too big?
Budget = as low as possible.
Doesn't need loads of fancy features. Just needs a decent enough mic that she can chat with her friends in fortnite without them picking up all the sinister goings on in the rest of the house. Not too hot would be good too.

These seem OK, in my experience most kids/cheap headphones aren't high quality especially if you have kids like mine but Amazon make returning stuff under warranty so easy it's not such a problem, that said I use some for my phone at work and they've been great, comfy too. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BGBNVG6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_A1TGJQ0YMH52NGF7TWBQA lot of 'gaming headphones' seem to be absolutely massive, are ugly as hell and consequently weigh a lot making them unsuitable for kids at least that's been my experience.

Some earbuds might work. You can set the budget yourself, but for example, Rich from DF uses Apple earbuds in his videos.
With earbuds, you don't need to worry about how big your head is.

She's using some regular wired earbuds, but they tend to fall out, the cable isn't long enough, and the inline mic is a bit crap. I use some for my phone at work and they've been great, comfy too. That particular model? I'm not averse to getting some cheap unknown brand off amazon, though it can be a bit of a gamble at times.

Not knowing which your daughter wears, I've found that those with silicone tips are better at staying in your ears because they usually provide different sized tips. There's also the sports wrap arounds that cling to your earlobes, but I could see those slipping off as well.
If naught else, I hear the Razer D.Va headphones were built for smaller heads, but they were pretty visually loud, and perhaps not the cheapest.

Yes those exact models, bought each of the kids a set too during lockdown as they were in school but had to wear headphones all day.

Assuming she isn’t chatting because Nintendo, use any old wired headphones you have lying around. The girl uses some old grado sr80e that I don’t use for the switch atm.
Failing that I think the arctis 1 and the kraken x are like 30 quid on Amazon at the moment and you can’t go wrong with either of them.

Switch, but Fortnite, so she's chatting non-stop. I think the chatting with friends is probably more important than the game. So a decent boom mic, hopefully kinda directional, is important.
