Gavin and Stacey is coming back. Just thought you would all love that fantastic news… Edit. Perfect new page Deadline and The Sun bollocks apparently. Ditto the Netflix bidding war
Edit:Heh, top of this new page, appropriately

Thinking why I haven't seen that Guy Fieri show for years, but it's because we used to watch shite like that on the Food Channel when there was nothing else watchable on (eg most of the time) before Netflix, Prime etc.

I'm sure they've been covered already, but the front page of Amazon prompted me to bring them up again: the hosts of The Grand Tour.
Jeremy Clarkson is a malignant bully. Richard Hammond is the odious little shit who hides behind the bully. And James May... well, ostensibly he should know better, but apparently doesn't (or else he does, but money talks).
Can't stand any of 'em.

I don't really mind any of them though rarely tune in to anything they do these days, though oddly I actually I find May & Hammond to be less watchable than Clarkson.

He was always a decent journalist. The retrospectives they did- on world rally, on Saab etc- were excellent. It was just the attention seeking toddler aspect that overtook that. May is likeable but less of an expert on certain things, more the bloke in the pub who’s always got an interesting fact, whether you want one or not. Hammond isn’t even a proper hamster.

Prompted by tonight's appearance on "celebrity" Mastermind, Paul Barrell - the royal butler who spent the years following Diana's death flogging stories, nicking stuff, and perjuring himself - can now add "certified idiot" to his list of qualities.

I only caught his general knowledge, he finished with a mighty 10 points, and to be fair he did come in third, beating a daytime radio DJ with nothing but very white teeth between his ears

Surely there was an influencer or ex-footballer who fancied a go? How the hell is he still getting tv jobs off the back of Diana?

You can't imagine how someone could get work off the back of knowing a famous person? Ewan MacGregor's boring mate Charlie Boorman say's hi.

The butler was called Paul Burrell, however I quite like the idea of a barrel with arms and legs working as a butler. Get Pixar on the phone now!

Not a celebrity other than being the worst PM of all time, but Liz Truss needs to fall into a hole and not get out.

My tiny claim to fame is that I did a bike ride with him between Oxford & the Ace Cafe, London which was *vastly* better attended than expected, so we pissed off pretty much every thames valley commuter that day. Small things entertain me.

Alan Davies, smug little posh boy.

Is he posh? Not sure about that.
That being said, of all the people I know who’ve met him, very few have a nice word to say about him. Grumpy as fuck. Think he’s one of those comedians who are desperate for laughs when the lights are on and as soon as cameras are off they just want to curl up and die.

I met him in Germany at the world cup in 2006. Spent the afternoon on this piss with him and his mates. He was OK, a bit reserved but wasn't particularly grumpy. Didn't realise he went to a public school but doesn't strike me as particularly posh otherwise.

Knew there was some incident about Alan Davies. Double checked and apparently he bit a homeless person's ear for some reason. Sure I've heard others say he is a bit of an arse too.
I've enjoyed him on QI though and always liked Johnathan Creek (well, excluding the 2 or 3 times they randomly decided to bring the series back for pointless one off episodes in recent years).

Alan Davies is the worst joke mugger on tv. I’ve lost count of the number of times that I’ve been pissed off with him at ruining a profound or intelligent point on QI with yet another knob gag. The show has evolved over time: panel mix, material and presenters, but he’s still doing the same turn of the century shtick. Edit: Yeah, love Jonathan Creek

I think he, understandably, has a few issues from childhood abuse. I'm indifferent to him but the tramp biting was weird.

Serves me right for listening to the Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe Parenting Hell podcast but they had Luisa Zissman on as a guest this week, and fucking hell… What a vile woman. Really gives Katie Hopkins a good run for her money in the hateful ex-Apprentice contestants stakes.

Is she following the tried-and-tested pathway to GBNews after the money ran out?

There was quite a lot to unpack and I didn’t even make it through the full episode before switching off.
The whole thing reeked of privilege - she lives in a mansion because she married into incredible wealth and has 15 household staff- so immediately not relatable. Thats not terrible in itself but she has a real Tory mindset that says that because she’s worked hard and got money that means anyone who works hard will be guaranteed similar success. And if they don’t have shitloads of money then they haven’t worked hard enough.
But moreover in the course of an hour she body shames women who breastfeed, thinks her childhood was hard up because “we didn’t even have a cleaner” and “had to get a job to afford my first horse”, basically called people that choose careers in the arts workshy, and kept saying she had to graft for everything, being oblivious to the fact that most people don’t have horses as children or get paid to get their tits out in Nuts.
