I was reading an article/interview on the NME with the drummer from The Libertines who was talking about the times they played with and did photo shoots and whatnot with Morrissey. Apparently Morrissey was pleasant and chatted with everyone except him, who he completely ignored.

I met Gary and John post gig after they'd supported Supergrass in Southampton (2002?)and they were amazing. Carl and Pete had gone to a VIP area and seemed to be vetting people based on possession of tits/drugs. I'm probably a touch bitter because it would have been nice to say thanks for the show to them as well |

That’s a supremely bad take but Waters is on the right side of history far more than not. Supporting a completely unprovoked war of aggression that's murdering thousands of civilians is a pretty bad time to be on the wrong side. Unforgivably bad really. |

Waters' dad was a communist conscientious objector who then finally signed up for service and then died in 1944 on the battlefield, when Waters was just 1. I don't agree with his view but I can understand how he's come to that position with that looming over his upbringing.

I've never had strong feelings about him either way before, but for whatever reason, Jamie Oliver is measuring really high on the irritation scale in his latest series. Whether it's using ingredients you need to have a dealer in Marrakesh to get, shouting "COME ON!" after every step of the cooking process, or just never showing the stark reality of family of dining where the youngest refuses to eat anything except scrambled eggs and the eldest hates you because you told him to put his phone away...

I don't know whether he qualifies as a 'celebrity' - although he has certainly done his best to achieve said status over the years - but Spencer Elden, a.k.a. the naked baby on the front cover of Nevermind, is certainly someone I've come to dislike quite intensely.
