Lol. I have no idea if those liking my post are in agreement or just taking the piss.

I use it quite a bit. I like it.

The old RPS forums got it when we moved to Discourse, and for a long time no-one seemed to use it much. But slowly it seemed to get used more often.

I just use it instead of filling up the thread with stuff like "me too!" or "I know what you mean" or "I like that movie too" or "lol". Where I don't really have anything to add.

The little popup notification bubble isn't something I need tho, as it does tend to make me click on it for no reason.

I also wish it was still a heart instead of a thumbs-up, because sometimes you just want to give someone a hug! *insert heart smiley here* 

Yeah I think I noticed a slight difference in how rps & eg historically "liked" things. Like BillNotBen I tend to use it quite freely as a generic acknowledgment, thanks, virtual hug, actual like, or giggle - situations where a one or two word response just adds chaff to a thread, but I nevertheless want to acknowledge &appreciate another's input

I kind of like it, sometimes I want to acknowledge a post as something I agree with, but have nothing else to add.

I also find it validating to get likes, because I'm horribly insecure and sometimes think I might just be taking into the void.

There should be a button for that too
