Its not a 'pivotal' story but he basically 'hello there's into an entire droid army by himself, kills the most powerful warrior in the droid army and ends up being one of two (known) Jedis to survive the cull. He gets decent screen time but I can see why you would skip his plot line if youre getting the entire story from a six minute video.

Also the YouTube video was titled “Anakin calls me at 3am” and had a thumbnail of a streamer looking shocked.

He gets decent screen time but I can see why you would skip his plot line if youre getting the entire story from a six minute video. It's the biggest problem with the prequel trilogy for me. The character arc is meant to be Obi-Wan failing to steer his apprentice in the right direction, both failing on the dying wish of his master and letting down his friendship with Anakin. We never see him spend any time with Anakin though, other than tutting about him jumping out of flying cars at the start of ep. 2. He always goes off and has his own little adventure that is not really relevant to the 'How Anakin became Darth Vader' plot. |

I liked how they realised Obi-Wan Kenobi sounded a bit foreign so went with Ben. Like the guy on your team who calls himself 'Joe' because he knows nobody will be arsed to learn how to pronounce his actual name. Of all of the prequel terribleness, the most ridiculous for me was the Obi-Wan went into “deep hiding” from Darth Vader, by going back to the exact spot he met him in the first place, dressing in full Jedi garb on a daily basis and changing his first (but not his far more recognisable second) name. Would Vader ever want to return to the site of his childhood trauma though? Where his mother was murdered, and he went on that murder spree? |

Eventually, the entire point of star wars is people trying to expunge those feelings and their... humanity.. and ultimately failing so, yes, it would more than make sense if he went back to tatooine just to dance on his mothers grave and kill even more people.

Tatooine. The planet where Luke thinks nothing ever happened but it turns out everything important in Star Wars happens there.
In short Luke is a dumbass.
And I thought the point of the prequels was to create loads of plot holes and inconsistencies by answering questions no one ever asked?

So, the kids watched the Original Trilogy, which they liked.
Then we went back and watched the Prequel Trilogy, which one thought was ok, and the other got bored of.
So, Rogue One next, or Force Awakens next?
(Personally, I want to do Rogue One, Then the OT again, but I'm not sure the kids will go for that).

Because the search for Luke was being conducted entirely and single-handedly by Vader himself, as is the only viable and sensible approach when searching a galaxy for someone with the resources of an entire empire. |

I've bought a, what appears to be, a 1977 Ben Kenobi figure, for €15.
The reason it grabbed my attention, is that this Ben Kenobi has a yellow blade.
I can't find much info online about it .
Anybody here any expertise?

The yellow blade figures are from early versions before the film was finished. The lightsabers were just poles wrapped with highly reflective material, so before they were graded red and blue, they were yellow.

Was watching Sort Your Life Out (bbc show where they come and tidy your house) and there's a common theme of dads not wanting their kids to give away their toys, even when they're getting too old for them.
I assume this is from a shared trauma of having your star wars toys given away.
Or watching Toy Story (3?)
