I've said it before, but it's basically my policy to try and have no opinion on stuff like this, until something is proven one way or another, which it rarely is.
It could be either thing but only a few people know for sure.

I think, in the grand scheme of things, youre allowed to think something is gross even if the person doesnt go to prison for it. Take the entire cocaine fuelled rock scene, for example.

In the case of Rammstein, didn't they pretty much admit to it? With the argument being it's not "technically illegal" before offering to stop doing it and sacking the staff who'd arrange the whole thing.
Picking out the young attractive girls in the crowd, moving them to the front row, then back to a private room to be given alcohol before putting one or more of them in a tiny room with the lead singer.. With no demands they have to have sex, he simply storms off if they don't.. isn't technically illegal sure.
Total abuse of power and then some though.

It definitely feels gross even if its not a crime.
I guess maybe it slipped down people’s consciousness because its very much him living the gimmick. Like ‘oh no, the dude from Rammstein is a horrible sex person’, their whole deal for the last 25 years is being a horrible sex band doing horrible sex music. I imagine a lot of people will have seen the headline and thought “yeah, probably” and immediately moved on.
But then I’ve read so many old rock biographies that celebrate behaviour that now would get them locked up so maybe metal fans have had our senses deadened to what rockstars do. All of The Dirt reads like a confession and lets not start on Led Zep.

Well this has been a good test for the echo chamber. Now, what we don't know is if the ones chosen were dressed liked they wanted to go backstage with the lead singer. If you dress showing your cleavage, don't get mad if I stare. They could have been dressed provocatively which means it wasn't he fault. Am I doing it right? |

If they were asked, my guess is they wouldn't be able to or if they did the example wouldn't be silly.
