It's always the people you most expect. I was reading a Clive Barker novel set in Hollywood, written in like 1998, and there's this character who is a complete creep, and in retrospect, it's obvious he's based on Weinstein, particularly the physical description, and it's like, huh I guess people at least kinda-new all the way back then, even random British horror writers (of course Barker had been around Hollywood a bit by then). He was living there by then, so I imagine he was given the standard 'all these guys are cunts but don't say so in public' talk by his agent. |

He was pretty polite (and weirdly realistic) about the few living Hollywood actors involved (making a sadly entirely believable blockbuster - one only more plausible now I'm sure lol). |

China dissappear people fairly regularly and they magically reappear from a re-education camp/process. Most of the time the population seems to go along with it as there's an element of schadenfreude towards super wealthy celebs.
This is a bit different to a tax blunder or bad interview though, an official sexually assaulting a sports star should be causing some backlash from the Chinese public.
