Yeah saw that about Linkin Park, considering how Chester Bennington was abused as a kid them choosing to replace him with someone who supported a rapist *and* is associated with a cult that is actively against therapy has got to be one of the stupidest moves in quite a while.

Yeah, I thought she gave a good performance and like the new song, thought she was a good fit, but hearing about her views has tarnished my opinion somewhat.

Probably not if you're James Acaster.

Stating he did nothing with minors whilst sporting that moustache, isn't doing him any favours.

Yeah, I've seen a renaissance of the paedo moustache out in the wild lately, and it's not November. What's going on with fashion?

She has, miraciously and not at all convenient, apologised for her stance on social media. First I've heard of her being like this and I liked her in Dead Sara. Between that and Mike's love of crypto and NFT's, it gives off a bad vibe.

I’ve had one for about 2 1/2 years but its not worn with a totally clean shave everywhere else so you probably can’t tell a lot of the time.
Tipping point was accepting how poorly I can grow facial hair on my cheeks and not wanting to look like a total neckbeard whenever it grew beyond stubble.

I think it’s a trend that started with Aussies along with the mullet renaissance.

Not sure it's crazy so much as depressing.
It absolutely exemplifies why I think social media is awful.
Cunts like Tate have ways existed, and no doubt, or social media there would have been pockets on the internet where rapey weirdos wouls congregate, but social media has amplified their reach massively. Algorithms have amplified their reach massively.
People who might not have sought out the weird pockets hidden away can now find these god awful views everywhere, and people who are easily swayed can be more easily drawn into rabbit holes.
I don't think *any* of the positives of social media can balance all that shit out.

And because the algorithms feed on engagement whether its positive or negative even a prime time Panorama episode with interviews of women he’s assaulted and raped will only amplify his social media reach not depress it.
That clause Congress passed in the 90s saying websites aren’t liable for what users post on them really has caused some crazy damage to society over the years. It probably seemed very sensible at the time when all it was doing was choosing not to police usenet groups. But imagine now if Twitter and Meta were legally responsible and liable for every message a user posted, I’m sure all those arguments about it being “impossible” to monitor reported messages or identify every instance of hatespeech would be answered very quickly as the court indictments piled up.

The Tate thing is just I dunno, really weird because yes he's a hate engaging troll attention starved twat spouting off misogony and racism but with ones like him online they keep their work/private life generally close to their chest. But so starved for attention, Tate's literally talked about his disgusting pimping of women, raking in the vast majority of the money they make doing work for him and even flat out showing physical abuse on a gf of his for messaging another man, demonstrate a 'lesson' on how to control women. And all this was known we saw the likes of Piers Morgan inviting him onto his show on TalkTV at the time spinning him off in a positive light, playing chess with him and making jokes, portraying him as one of our current great thinkers, when the man's a race baiting, woman abusing POS failed kickboxer. No legit news source should be anywhere near him for his opinion on anything and perhaps that's turning around now with all this hanging over him, but still, there was a time when he was "just saying it like it is" to a lot of people promoting him favorably. It's disgusting.

Same, pretty sure I've never even heard his voice. I haven't even heard Trump's or someone doing an impression since he was shot either, I've forgot what Musk even sounds like. I've no social media and get my news and updates just fine on Reddit and news sites and just avoid watching videos about them. Like, it's really easy to do.

My issue isn't personally avoiding those cunts, it's how social media enables them to gain a following and the impact on society they have.

Things are so siloed too that he had a huge reach into school aged boys while being basically totally unknown to anyone else who didn’t remember his embarrassing time on Big Brother. So in that sense some of the media attention is good because it does warn parents what is going on in their kids phones and bedrooms.
