I have no regrets paying £8.75 for this. Last version I played was on the 360 so to me it looks and plays great. It's been that long as well were I've genuinely forgotten most of it.

£8.75 to finally get around to completing the replay of the campaign I started on PS4 but with some modest upgrades is fine with me.
Obviously PlayStation owners who aren't interested in the single player don't even have to bother paying that as GTAO is free for the next three months.

So the single player campaign is now DLC for GTA online. What fresh new level of fucking bullshit is that? The flipside of this is you no longer spend ages loading the single player if you get booted from the online due to connection issues, going idle too long, or using Quick Resume. So for dirty Online-only players like myself, it’s much more streamlined. (Sorry!)

Is GTAV actually available on PS5? I'm seeing it in the Xbox store but not in the PS App.

But is there a native PS5 version of online to download even? Or do I need to open up the PS4 version and like unlock the current gen version that way? I was hoping I'd be able to buy it digitally so I wouldn't need to keep inserting the disc.

Ahh okay. I couldn't find it on the PS App, it kept giving me the PS4 versions and various bundles of that. But on the PS5 itself, it's pretty front and center. Thanks Jambo.

I've played a bit of this. I think it's a pretty good remaster. As nice as a PS3 -> PS5 remaster can get, without redoing the whole thing in brand new engine ala Demon's Souls, anyway.
All the modes look nice, and the performance ones probably feel better overall, but I'm probably gonna stick to quality mode because I like the higher resolution, and you don't get the jarring effect you get with the other two modes where it constantly switches between 60fps gameplay and 30fps cutscenes. In quality, it's all a smooth constant 30fps transition between the two.

New monthly subscription service coming to GTA Online: www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/ak748a241k42kk/introducing-gta-for-gta-onlineCan’t say I’m that impressed- half a million in currency is an amount you could probably earn in an hour, and I’m not paying real money for a couple of liveries and t shirts. It’s better value if you don’t already have an Auto Shop I suppose (and much better than if you, heaven forbid, tried to buy all that stuff with shark cards)

Good to see they have broken the audio when in a party on the current gen consoles. Can't listen to the radio when in a party and nightclubs are silent. R* just telling people to clear their cache and seemingly not bothered.
Shame as it runs lovely now but I would really like to have the radio working when playing with others.

This is very welcome news that they are finally nerfing the Shitbike. Hopefully they will give it limited missles, like the Deluxo, and a longer cool down to spawning it. I may be tempted back with this good news.

See the GTA IV and RDR1 remakes have been canned due to the mess that was the GTA trilogy Shame they put so little effort into them.

I may be tempted back with this good news. I’d settle for very limited missiles but same cooldown. It’s still a really useful workhorse for getting around the city quickly and doing VIP work, multi-vehicle sell missions etc

On the pc with the Netlimiter program the game was great, could grind for money with no hassles. Since I picked it up on the series x I just can't get into it again, letting me do selling missions on invite only servers is the biggest surprise from that link.
May level up the xbox version when it comes.

Its much better paced than its sequel (and much shoeter too). It surely couldn't have cost too much. All the Red Dead 2 assets could have been used. I did here the original had messy code, which has made the project unappealing.

No need to put off that second playthrough anymore then Or first rhaegyr I actually reinstalled it the other day and couldn't remember what the hell I was meant to be doing (as well as the PS4 sounding like it was ready to launch); tempted to just buy it for the Series S and start from scratch.

Where do I start in GTA Online these days? So much has been added since I last played. I'm absolutely stumped as to what to do. I got a nightclub up and running but I can't sell stuff because you need other businesses and I'm broke as fuck anyway. Where would be the best place to start mission-wise to start making bank? I'm only level 9 lol.

I'm going to start afresh after playing it on release. I never did finish the story due, I think, to spending too much time exploring the glorious world and filling in the map. This lead to both losing track of the story and the odd jump where maybe the story would have been a better introduction to some places than my errant wandering about. So, maybe stick closer to the plot, then spend time filling in the map gaps, collectibles etc? I guess it is possible to continue once the story is complete?

None really. Just take your time and let it breathe; enjoy it. It's an extremely long game so forget any notions of completing it in any sensible time frame
If you're not interested in things like bathing/eating/feeding your horse, just ignore it. It doesn't really make much of a difference in my expierence but it's there for immersion
Dress well. Personally I like a moustache and I'd lose the spurs at the first opportunity. Bad for the horse

I'm only level 9 lol. If you’re willing to spend a bit of real money, the Criminal Enterprise starter pack gives you a huge leg up, and adds to the variety of missions you can do for cash in-game. If not, and you dropped all of your 4 million starter cash on the nightclub- you’re correct that it’s basically useless until you’ve got other businesses to do the stock and sell missions. I’d seriously consider starting a new account and buying an office or bunker with the starter cash instead. If that’s not an option, you’ll have to grind whatever races or battles are boosted each week until you can afford another business. But that will take aaaaaages. Sorry, nightclub is the worst possible thing to have with no other businesses to supplement it. Edit- other suggestions from a quick search - you can do business battles to get warehouse stock to sell, or you could join someone for a heist. If you’re on Xbox I’ll gladly do one and give you the maximum cut (but I’m not able to be online much)

Hey mate thanks for the reply! Just looked into the starter pack you mentioned, seems very bang-for-buck compared to the shark cards so I'll definitely pick that up tonight, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully that'll help me get me equipped enough to start making my own $$. Because you guessed right, I blew all my money on the useless fkn nightclub.

I booted this up again last night after several months away. Gotta say, I'm not too impressed by the general state of the game. In just a couple of hours I had:
- a casino heist prep mission kick me out after 20 minutes and lose all my progress - an English Dave nightclub popularity mission fail to launch, meaning I had to quit out of the session - the new main menu tiles that mention the different bonuses still seem to fail consistently when trying to launch the game - NPCs and cars seem to pop in and out much more than they used to
It's always been a bit buggy, but you'd have thought by now they had it under control more than this.
