Anyone fancy Batman & Robin tonight at the Odeon Luxe? £11.. ouch. Bargain. My odeon is £19.99 for a premium seat or £22.99 for a recliner. Luckily for £140 I get unlimited trips. I think this year I’ve gone enough to have paid £400+ if I was paying per view.

Uglies
Giving everyone plastic surgery and lobotomies solves all the worlds problems unless they get hold of a hoverboard.
It's from McG.
Avoid.

We watched the trailer last night. 'Don't get plastic surgery to be perfect, come and live in the woods with us and live naturally'. Smash cut to a forest full of the most beautiful, handsome, cosmetically enhanced motherfuckers you've ever seen dressed in peasant clothes.
And because the cast are so beautiful, the 'bad guys' seem to have a permanent CGI snapchat beauty filter on them. It looked so weird.

Mine (a Luxe in a retail park outside Leeds) seems to be between £11 and £16 depending on screen and seat upgrades.
Exception is the event cinema showings, which rarely have anyone in them, presumably because it’s £25 and they’re not included in Limitless+. £50 for two members to watch a video of a play seems a bit absurd.

Used to be everything was around £6.99 or £7.99 (except premium that was a pound or 2 more), but they changed about a year ago to have the price increase as you go towards the back of the screen. £8.99 is most expensive. I guess Vue go for cheaper individual tickets, rather than giving an unlimited card. I would probably prefer they did the opposite. Currently manage probably 2 or 3 times a month, but I'm sure I would go more if i wasn't paying for each trip.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
I went into this with huge doubt.. ah here we go, another sequel to a beloved film I like. But, doubt slowly started to disappear, as the minutes rolled on. Was this better than the first film? No, but it's a very competent sequel and I enjoyed the hell out of it, from a cinema experience. The whole cast was on top form, especially Keaton, who just nails Beetlejuice again.
I give it good sequel out of 10.
