Bloody hell! Just as I was getting quite pleased with my village I made the foolish mistake of looking online at other peoples and… wow. They really put mine to shame. Some of them I have no idea how they actually achieved it.

Yeah, some folk have crazy islands. I do find a lot of the ones that look amazing are more for show, rather than playing. They look great under a filter on a screenshot, but the frame rate tanks to headache inducing levels. That and you either get stuck a lot or have to walk long winding routes to get anywhere.

Yeah, I've visited some islands from Japanese YouTubers which are just nuts. They are amazingly creative but run like a dog with pop ups everywhere. I'd prefer my island to at least run smoothly!

Thats what I am for, but my island is also pretty sparse. Lots of trees, paths and bushes, but not a ton of items. Just enough to get me to the 5-star island and unlock the recipe Isabelle gives you.
At least it means I have plenty of room to build in if I get a moment of inspiration (or steal another players ideas).

Anyone feeling generous, my kid only has peaches and pairs on her island.
Is anyone willing to open up and donate her one of each apple, orange and cherrys to her so she can plant them to get going?
She can't get to my island in my switch as we only have one copy of the game 😭

Apparently this is now the best selling game of all time in Japan. Pretty nuts if true. Totally worth it though. For 45 quid I'm closing in on 800 hours of playtime. It's hard to imagine being able to go back and play any of the older games in the series now.

Thats pretty much it. They're just recipe ingredients. However, you may find you make more money selling the items you can make with the eggs, rather than just selling the eggs as they are.

Back into this game too, after buying it at launch and dropping off after a month.
I think Elden Ring has killed my desire to play a dark intense game 😂
Enjoying AC anyway. Early days but should I be opening up to letting others in so early? I don’t mind either way but I want to get the most out of the game asap incase I get bored again.

I've just crossed 900 hours playtime on this. I think I'd be lying if I didn't say this has to be one of my all-time favourite games. At the very least my favourite Animal Crossing. You don't clock up that kind of number on addiction alone!
That is roughly 450 hours over 2 islands. I restarted about a year and a half ago, just to experience the first 100 hours or so in which you're finding and building things daily, but before you've unlocked the terraforming. I hope they push that aspect further in the sequel.
