Smartmeter implies I'll save £6.50 today compared to every day over the last sub zero week. Give me warmer and wet if it'll save me £200 a month.

The rain is extra rainy today. Winter weather is fucking shit.

It's not even that cold, too warm for the big coat.
The rain is tiresome though.

When I get tired of the cold and the rain I remind myself of June to October last year.
We might not like but we need it.

Whilst this is ghastly I do still prefer it the high temps we had last year.

It was. Loved it (aside from the obvious climate change implications)

I find it less hassle to use waterproof clothes than it is to have to slather on that hideous sunblock shite. And I can actually sleep, in fact being in bed listening to the rain and wind is quite relaxing. Being in bed sweating and unable to sleep less so.

I'd like to see the back of the rain too, but it's not a binary system between this and 40 degrees.
I'd rather it was clear and 19 degrees. That would be lovely.

It would be nice for it to rain just one or two days a week, at this point. Not every single day. I have to walk 2 hours every day and I'm fed up of coming home drenched with no let up.

So do other people's waterproofs magically get dry as soon as they get in the door? My hallway is just wet all the time at the moment.
Actually, that said today was the first dry day in weeks.

We got snow this morning. Proper snow that fell between 8 and 9 and is still on the ground now.

No, they get hung in the garage to drip if they're really wet or in the utility room if they're just damp. The latter, the heating dries them up nicely. Basically, most of the foot traffic for our house enters in the rear. Front door is for visitors and the day you finally leave, as it were. simple it's trying to snow here, but it's that weak, pathetic, mostly rain type. No chance of it sticking.
