The fog in West London seems to be permanent.
Makes leaving the house rather unappealing.

Stay safe!
I was just thinking about how dry it's been in the UK recently. I'm surprised we've not had any typical winter storms. La Niña up to her tricks again.

Cheers, should be okay down here. Told to WFH because public transport will go to shit, but shouldn't be much more than torrential rain and 100kph+ winds here.
Apparently this and the flooding the other week are La Nina doing its thing. Over 300mm of rain for Whāngarei in the last 24 hours.

Rang Dad in Auckland. Power out for 10 hours and roads closed.
Rang mum. Power went out an hour ago.
Not much fun sitting about without electricity and cyclone winds battering the house.

Well today was a record high here. The day I thought to myself be nice to sand this countertop in a bit of sunshine.
28 degrees. In real degrees. There are leaves budding in bushes here. Fucked up

It’s over here. Still in the high 70’s and now everything but a few tree species has budded and bloomed. It’s pretty much green everywhere, which is an entire freaking month ahead of normal

Miserable drizzle here. May get some sleet tomorrow but that's it.

Tried to get to work at 7 am but couldn't get up the street at the end of the road. Too steep, tried another route and saw 2 buses with hazard lights on across the road, no chance of getting past. Turned round and went home. Two hours later I tried again and got to work which took an hour instead of the usual 20 minutes. Cars abandoned/crashed along the way.

We never seem to get snow here, not even sleet. Just rain that's colder than usual.

This winter is like that guy at a party that no one likes and just won't fuck off.

March is not too late for snow. I've seen deep snow in mid April.
