Went to see this earlier with the family. It was actually very enjoyable - I hope they do give it a sequel as I’d definitely go see that too.
Casting for Nate and Chloe was pretty spot on to be honest. Tom Holland does a fine job with the character and carries the quips very well.
Mark Wahlberg didn’t really feel like the Sully from the games, but he was perfectly fine in the role. Maybe needed a few more wisecracks, but you can’t blame him for the script.
Set pieces, action and mystery were all present and correct - maybe not doing anything we’ve not seen before in this type of movie, but I enjoyed it as a fan of the games and my family also enjoyed it without that same context.
Well worth a watch.
