So, because I'm an idiot, my 256GB iPhone X is dead, repair costs are over 500 quid so not worth it.
I want to get one of the new ones in a few months when they're out but need to tide myself over.
Pick up a 2nd hand Xr or similar and sell later, hopefully not losing much, pick up a cheap Android, pick up an iPhone 11 and sell later, what say you?

How'd you break it?
I lost my original iPhone version 1 by leaning over to flush an airport toilet with the phone in an open shirt pocket.

Mine has been near its capacity for awhile now. Did a back up and restore this afternoon and now its more full but the photos didn’t back up so I’ve lost a load of those.
Trillion dollar company can’t sort out a decent way to clear a cache without mucking things right up.

I mean. They sell iCloud for photos, did you take that for 70p a month? It's that or use storage like Amazon Photos if you have prime or Google Photos if you're not too upset it now has paid options

It was supposed to back them up but there’s nowt there.
I maintain that the ability to give is the option to clear “Other” shouldn’t be beyond them and probably only isn’t as part of their plan to destroy the environment and retain their slave labour workforce through planned obsolescence

I would add to this that I have the cheaper Poco X3 Pro, and it's an absolutely belting phone. Camera is as you'd expect at £200, but I've no other complaints at all, and battery life is superb. |

A mate has a spare X which he'll lend me to tide me over till the new ones come out, which is great of him... |
