I don't think Woakes got the memo that this is a road.

What the actual fuck is going on, after Pakistan's first innings I was worried it was going to be a mauling, but fucking hell, what a first innings score!

And we get to do it all again in Multan next week. Perhaps England will try for 900 this time?

It's the first time in the 148 year history of test cricket that a team has won by an innings having conceeded over 500 in the first innings, amazing. It's Baz-ball that made this happen, the only way this is possible is to score so fast in your innings that you still have time to take another 10 wickets. To leave yourself more than a day to take 10 wickets with a 260 run lead having conceeded 500+ runs in the first innings is just completely mad. So if anyone rolls their eyes the next time you mention "Baz-ball", smack em round the face.

Incedible really, that's England winning on the last three occasions they have shipped 500 runs to the opposition in the first innings.
Loving this team at the moment, regardless of the result there's usually a lot of excitement!

Bazball goes both ways! Rubbish collapse Tbf, pre Bazball they'd have collapsed but ended up something like 60 all out off 45 overs.

That pitch was truly a challenge, very rare occurence it turns out re-using a pitch for a second test on the same ground. Fair play to England for not moaning about it (it's not illegal to do it, but is it sporting?) and treating it as a challenge. Gives us a tense affair for the final test, and hopefully we put them to the sword "With their creation for the second Test, the reused, recycled and resuscitated pitch from the first, Pakistan acknowledged they needed some help. It was, essentially, a massive compliment to England and their swashbuckling style." from BBC sport

Same for both teams imo. But yeah was unusual to say the least.

Oh yeah for sure, but I guess they had time to prepare for it and made big team calls to stack themselves with spinners to work the pitch to their favour. You're right though, it is an equal field for both teams.

Very disappointing. Will be a massive learning point for them though. Got to respect spinners and these turning pitches b
