If anyone happened to watch England v NZ 3rd ODI today, and watched the innings interval... You'd have seen me giving an interview 😉 You can actually now view it on our club's Facebook page here Old England CC Facebook

Bof. Have some of that.
Tail end blasting boundaries is great very viewing for the neutral but so frustrating for a bowling team.

Yet another Root salvage job saves England’s arse. 33 centuries. He'll go far. Decent work from Atkinson, too.

Gus Atkinson 103 in 103 balls, and now on all three honours boards. Not bad for 2 games at Lords.

Gus Atkinson 103 in 103 balls, and now on all three honours boards. Not bad for 2 games at Lords. Proper innings as well, highlights reel is full of classy drives. That cover drive followed by straight drive to bring up his ton were beauties, then he belts that front foot pull for 4 next ball of the 85mph quick. Love the fact he's only 26 as well, hell of a start to his career and hopefully loads of years left in the tank.

He's looked the part all summer 😍 Presume he'll disappear with injury for 2 years at some point like every other fast bowler except Anderson and Broad!

He might have another 4-5 years in him, too. At this rate, Tendulkar might be in sight.

That's a lot of Test runs to make up. Especially not playing home tests on flat pitches in the sub-continent.

That's a lot of Test runs to make up. Especially not playing home tests on flat pitches in the sub-continent. /Runs. I made that joke to an Indian buddy and he pulled out Sachin's stats in England - 54.31 average with 4 x 100s and 8 x 50s, I didn't really have a come back
But Root scoring over half of his runs in England with the ball seaming and/or swining more often than not definitely adds to how special he is.

Harry Brook has scored more runs in Pakistan than a lot of Pakistani batters.
