I don't care about the fact Aus will retain the Ashes. It's just depriving what would be an amazing final test. If Australia won the final test, it would still be an amazing sequence of events. Instead, it's almost literally ending with a damp squib. Yeah, it sucks. But hopefully your team will play as if you won this one. If it's a drawn series, I think you'll have the moral victory, if not the one written down. Also, pretty much this exact situation happened in your favour in one of the recent Ashes series in England. So don't complain too much.  |

No rain for weeks and as soon as the Ashes starts it begins to change. Meanwhile large parts of Europe are literally on fire. I blame Brexit. Yeah, if we had stayed in Europe right now we would be in a heatwave like them and England would have won the test. Not so sunny uplands, but at least everything else has benefited, right |

My hope is that this actually motivates us to a series victory in Australia. That's where they should be looking. |

Knowiking Stokes like we do and seeing the weather forecast (and remembering what happened in the last game...) I imagine he's thinking 280 lead min, 300+ would be nice, 350+ would be splendid. We should get that 280 comfortably from here at least, I'm not too worried. |
