Credit where it’s due, he’s had a cracking test so far. Vindication for him and the selectors

Stranded on 99, but I doubt JB is too unhappy about it.

Letting them get 0-2 ahead with some very marginal moments and sloppiness will I fear ultimately cost us here. 0-2 with the English weather is a massive ask.

The forecast for tomorrow has always been terrible but I've just seen it's got noticeably worse on Sunday than when I checked earlier... I think we're fucked, which is a genuine travesty.

It will suck if the rain stops it; you emphatically deserve to win this game. But if the series ends up drawn, you can claim the moral victory.

Such a fucking stupid excuse for a sport. Build up to the best crescendo there's been in ages and it gets obliterated by... inclement weather. So stupid.

Weather tomorrow according to forecast: sunny with cloudy intervals
Cricket: nah, couldn't possibly delay play by a day
What a stupid sport

S’all part of test cricket, innit. Especially when you’ve got a test series over here.
I’m finding all the cries of how unfair it is and that rules need to change now that it’s potentially stopping an England from winning a bit embarrassing.
Probably shouldn’t have chucked away the first two tests if we really wanted a chance.

I don't care about the fact Aus will retain the Ashes. It's just depriving what would be an amazing final test. If Australia won the final test, it would still be an amazing sequence of events. Instead, it's almost literally ending with a damp squib.

Also "it's just cricket" is such a bs excuse. Cricket was one of the first sports to introduce video supported officiating, and has done so in a excellent way. It's modernised in that regard, yet completely archaic with it's approach to weather.

Weather forecasts are miles better than they used to be too. On Day 1 we knew that play would be lost over the weekend, so why not subtract overs from Day 5 and put them onto earlier days.
Start earlier and finish later too.

Probably shouldn’t have chucked away the first two tests if we really wanted a chance. Regardless of the score or this test, it is blatantly clear that the weather stopping the sport from happening and then calling a draw when playing at the highest level when the series only occurs every two years in this day and age is utter nonsense.

No rain for weeks and as soon as the Ashes starts it begins to change.
Meanwhile large parts of Europe are literally on fire.
I blame Brexit.
