I really don't get how Crawley gets in this team. Barely averages 30 in first class cricket and under it in test cricket and routinely shells chances in the field.

You were right though. Underneath that green top, there's a solid pitch. As nem said though, not sure I'd have trusted our batsmen to have left the ball as well as NZ did. We'd have been toast by tea I reckon.

At this point we've pretty much only got the chance to save the test and will bat on a progressively deteriorating pitch. And I definitely don't trust our batting lineup when the pressure of runs on the board is there ha |

Bit of luck but glad to see Pope get some runs. Unlike Crawley he does look the part and is clearly a cut above county cricket. I'm still confident that when it clicks for him he'll have some huge years for England.

Been a great series so far and this is a superb test match. Regardless of the result its just nice to see England competing in a couple of test matches!

Yep for sure. And that's kind of one of the big issues. Averaging what he does in both first class and test he's quite literally never been in stellar form. I have no idea how he's getting picked. |
