I think I would pay full price simply for the full radio stations of vice city.

Websites rushing to get their clicks for a placeholder listing on a retail site, I'm sure it's being released on New Year's Eve too.
Don't bother going to the site to pre-order, it's been deleted.

Wow.
So it's supposed to be coming out this year. I suspect these won't be 'remakes' but just a resolution and framerate bump but Rockstar always keep things under wraps until they're sure they've got something to release so this project could already be done or near complete (I wish Square Enix would adopt this policy).

If they tighten up the controls and increase the draw distance then I may be interested.

“Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail."
From the official blurb.

Sounding like a proper upgrade then? Happy with that, and looking forward to playing Vice City and SA again.

Don't forget the new and improved remote control aircraft missions.
I don't think I could face doing the San Andreas ones again.

Now re-release the first two games Rockstar you monsters. I'd settle for a Yakuza style thing where you can play the first 2 games from within the remakes.

Now re-release the first two games Rockstar you monsters. Or the first one at least. I cannot believe it hasn't had a rerelease on any consoles yet.

Turning on the ps1 or early pc GTA games is jarring as hell, tank controls for everything and having to use an old controller on pc.

So it's weeks away from release and not even a picture. Totally, totally fine.

50 quid?
Lol no.
It would need to be to utterly spectacular for me to pay that much. Like fully remade in the RAGE engine with graphical fidelity compared to GTAV.

Apparently the San Andreas remake is going to be on Game Pass day one.
Edit: or what he said!

Of course they give away my least favourite in the series...

Yeah. Not too fuss3d about San Andreas. To be honest, I'm only interested in this if it runs well on Switch. I'm not likely to sit through any of them again on the TV. I've completed 3 and Vice City twice each, 100%.

Visual updates look great, and with modern controls confirmed including the targeting this is a definite buy for me. Most likely on Series X, but if the Switch version looks good then I might be tempted to get it on that for some portable sessions.
Less interested in SA, it was fun but VC is the real draw.

San Andreas on Gamepass. 3 on PS Now. Does that mean Vice City part of the pricey NSO Online explansion then? Haha

Wonder if they'll sell them separately in that case. I'd rather just get VC on its own tbh.

I'm definitely interested but I'll wait to see what happens with pricing and availability first because I know I'm just going to play GTA 3 and probably never touch the others.
The more 'character' they gave the protagonists the less I liked the games.
Furthermore, I just prefer the GTA 3 environment, there's less copy paste which was an inevitable consequence of further and further expansion of the map in later gamea. At a glance I always knew where I was and how to get to where I was going just from recognising buildings and streets, it's a curious thing to have a map of a place that doesn't really exist in your head and feeling as familiar as anywhere you've lived.
