Yes yes yes “I don’t see why you would watch someone else play a game blah blah” well streaming video games is a thing and I’m sure some folks here enjoy consuming it! So, any recommendations?
For me it is Limmy on WFH mornings for the hilarity, Elijazz for the sheer skill and Max for fighting games.
Edit: mods I put this in “General” rather than “Gaming” as of course you can stream all sorts of shit other than video games.

Timing on this thread was great  I watch a rather eclectic mix of people, to be honest. Typically more so around the time of a game release, especially any MMOs etc., or when beta tests of works in development I've been following are going on. My guilty pleasure, which I often have on the iPad whilst cooking or catch 10-15mins of before bed, are no commentary playthroughs of older survival horror games, particularly ones I don't currently have access to. The SHN guy on YT is great for that sort of thing: absolutely no bull shit or talking, just running through the game. |

I just watch a few Djs really, Chewies Flight Sim streams are oddly captivating.
I got up to affiliate stream Fishing Sim World and Squadrons with no mic but haven't streamed for a while. Fairly sure my channel name is the same as my forum name, maybe without the dash.

Most of the streamers I follow on Twitch I originally started watching for Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2 PvP fight clubs etc, and then stuck with them as they moved on to other games, so people like

ENB in particular plays a lot of games that align with my tastes, a lot of retro PS1/2 era JRPGs. There are a few others, Yamiks I started watching when I played Elite Dangerous, and MorrolanTV I found through Black Desert Online.
I generally get really into a game so I watch other people playing it, then continue to follow them playing other games. I follow enough people that there is usually someone streaming whenever I feel like watching something.

My go to are Distortion2, Elajjaz, Ashens (only on his quiz night. Bloody hilarious and much better than his YouTube channel that's gone downhill). The Mexican runner occasionally. Andy Social Network and his other Andy Gaming Network.
I follow quite a few others like Cohh Carnage, LobosJr, Maximilian Dood, Louise_cx, Bouphe, Osiefish. But they are background noise when working usually.
