A little late in the game but I just picked this up and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. It holds up a lot better than I expected. I recently played through Outer Worlds which I enjoyed, but it never brought me into the world like this trilogy does.
I probably should have waited until it inevitably hit gamepass but I had a hankering and couldn’t wait.
What happened to BioWare? I never played it but Andromeda seems to have had a poor reception. One of the key elements of Mass Effect was how tight the game was, not too long and not much in the way of filler. Sounds like that went out the window a bit for Andromeda.
Any chance the new Mass Effect will be any good?

Picked Andromeda up in a sale a while back - played through it once, perfectly enjoyable time but no desire to ever do so again and can't remember a damn thing about the plot. Vast majority of jank had been patched out but still a few weird faces and some jarringly bad writing stood out from the otherwise perfectly serviceable (albeit apparently entirely forgetable) writing

There are some amazing little fixes in ME1.
In the original, during your first chat with Anderson on the Normandy, there is this weird little pause before he stops talking and Joker interrupts with footage of Eden Prime. That's totally removed in the Legendary Edition.
They also fixed the Thorian's health bar. In the original it had weird little arrows that always made me think something special would happen if i whittled its health between them.

One thing I will note though is that I still can’t get on with the cover system in ME 1. If I remember rightly they changed it to a button command in the latter games, not sure why they couldn’t have implemented it in ME 1 for the remaster.
I think I read somewhere that they improved the responsiveness of the auto cover in this version but I still find it incredibly fiddly.

Even playing on insanity, i hardly ever used cover for that reason. It was just easier to strafe.
I think the only time i had to was with the Geth encounter just outside Liara's mine. Wanted her in my party ASAP, so it was the first place i went to after the Citadel, which made it the hardest part of my whole playthrough i would say.
